I feel like it's been a while since I've seen a Derby winner that I've really liked. It's no secret that the winners haven't been selling too well and have been reckoned away relatively quickly in the last few.

However, I love this shirt. I think it's beautiful and seems like one of those shirts people stop to look at. In for one.

Only thing is... anybody wish there are a branch for Pluto? lol.

Hmmm it looks like planets are in season right now. But the burning question I have is, are they organic?

Sorry, I had something witty to say about the shirt design, but now I've been distracted by the Frederick's of Hollywood ad.

I'm realizing now that asphalt is a more popular shirt color for space-themed Woot shirts than black. Interesting.

The top four shirts right now are all from the last four derbies. Not to mention there are three other designs in the top 20 from that time span. That means that seven out of twelve designs from the last month have stuck around in the reckoning and are doing well. Just sayin'. Judging by the amazing vote tally and response for this one it will probably continue the trend.

I am so excited to own a littleclyde shirt!! As soon as I saw it, I was torn on whether or not I should buy it (and I am a stingy buyer so that is pretty big!), but as soon as I saw it was littleclyde, I had to get it! I have absolutely loved two shirts that you've done in the derby, and probably others but I know of two for sure and I am just extremely excited to get this one!!

I am now tempted to buy this shirt to wear it and so I have a plan to follow for constructing this epic floor lamp.

I love it! The design is so creative and beautiful that I had to get one. I only wish the color was black but oh well.

I understand the wishes that this was on a black shirt, but look at the stalk. It's black. It would also likely be invisible on navy, as black on AA navy tends to be. I think asphalt was the only real option for this design.

Trying to decide whether or not I should buy this, though I'm leaning towards yes. Do you all think this is a good birthday gift to myself?

I dig the side placement. I tend to prefer larger, centered prints, but I think this one benefits from being less in-your-face.

Finally a shirt I want to win gets first. Been months since Ive seen that happen. Congrats and I look forward to getting the shirt in. I dig that its on asphalt. Black is too stereotypical. I also cant recall the last time I saw a derby winner get so many votes.

This is the first shirt in probably a year that I would consider buying. Absolutely beautiful. I just wish it wasn't on woot's awful grey shirts...they always feel like such a disappointing material whenever I've bought them in the past. I wish they used a higher quality shirt.

Wonderful design though! Congrats to the artist!

Huh. I've always thought their shirts were plenty fine. My most worn woot shirt is on asphalt and it has held up beautifully.

Higher quality = higher price. And then we'd having something else to whine about! =D

I personally think the quality is just fine. Soft shirts, good fit.

Sweet, First time I bought a shirt from woot.

Also I am glad I live in New Mexico where our state legislature passed a law(or some form of a law) making Pluto to be a planet

Honestly, I think the quality of the shirts is fine regardless of price. Threadless used AA shirts for ages and they price higher.

I do my gardening at night
So I can, so I can
Watch my planets grow and softly glow

I do my gardening at night
So I can, so I can
Keep my stellar remnants in a row

'Cause
Pluto was deceiving me
I pruned it off its t.r.e.e*
It tried to get control of me
I picked it up to say

I'll switch the blade
On the dwarf planet,
Oh no

Don't masquerade as a
Real planet,
Oh no

Eh? There are more stars than planets on the shirt, and the two are rather intertwined thematically. I'm all for keeping off-theme shirts from printing, and I don't think this remotely qualifies. The stars are a rather vital part of the design, not just lip service.

You can tell yourself that, but it's really just your opinion.

And it appears that the woots god approved of it as well, so your moans and groans will be to no avail. I know it sucks when you want a different shirt to win, but honestly, stars and planets on a shirt.. I'd say that's a pretty good interpretation of the theme.

I agree that it is about the planets. I just don't think that makes it off theme. There are plenty enough stars here to keep it on theme, and they add plenty to the design. They add contrast and contribute to the shirt's tone.

There was no rule stipulating that the shirts couldn't feature planets. Littleclyde combined them. There are about two dozen stars on this shirt, and they are a major part of the design. Yeah, the planets stand at the forefront, but the stars are a solid supporting role. If this was off theme, they'd be wordless extras.

ENOUGH already of these artsy-fartsy t-shirts. I'm sick of going to shirt.woot and finding some shirt titled 'evening mist' or 'the star within'... you get the gist. Something my 55 year old aunt who is into gardening, meditating, and cleanses would wear to her man-haters club.

Come and create those shirts that make you laugh because of how clever they are. All I am left to buy are the nerd shirts anymore. My first and favorite woot shirt: “Curious Little Turtle“... now that shirt was awesome. There was a cool turtle with an awesome grenade and the punch line was the grenade pin in his other hand.

Now come of you designers... I want more from you please.
