Can I get the Indian Indian shirt. I want one I have a couple friends that if they have a baby this will be the end result. I simply want to support their union while at the same time make fun of them.

What?!
It isn't a photo, its been hand drawn based on a charcoal drawing I made 5 years ago. At least let me send you the print file so you can see.

Also, it's not a celebrity, he has been dead long past any copyright statute of limitation.

The bird on the far right has the best expression. Disbelief and contempt. Well done.

paigeg wrote:Only because the misconception is rampant in this Derby, I wanted to clarify: This is not a design in 'henna'. Henna is a plant, and a color, not a style. Mehndi is the style.

And this is great - beautiful work, and so quickly! Hands hurt much? Eyes crossed?

Thanks for clearing it up. I did not know that about the plant.!

It would be sweet if I was able to do this overnight, but truth be told, I've been sitting on this illustration a while, and waiting for a good chance to use it. The original head took forever to finish, and then I had to scan an assemble in chunks.

Glad you all like it!

I don't see how this is really relate dto "India." For that matter, it's vaguely racist.

As much as I am tired of all of the elephants in the derby, when I get henna done next, I WILL have my step mother use this design template to do my hands (its beautiful!)

Re: Elephants

This is beautiful and so intricate!
I know these concerns have been raised before on designs with far less detail... How well can woot print it without losing the detail and how many washes do you think it will take to destroy the design?

rejected for 'religious figure'. i had thought that rule was for abusive content with regards to religous figures. seems mega restrictive. like paranoid corporate restrictive.

Lets meditate... "Ommmmm!"

Not as cool and meaningful as the original, but I still like it a lot. The circle design kind of looks better on the T-shirt, but I would still prefer the Om symbol... Oh well. Enjoy!

Perhaps, but they were pretty clear about the rules at the outset. You probably went a little beyond a generic figure with the inclusion of the necklace of heads--that's the thing that makes one certain it's Kali. If you redid it without the skulls, it might pass muster (disclaimer: I don't work for woot, so of course that's no guarantee).

i don't think they were that clear. just says "religion, and just playing nice in general". i don't feel this piece is mean by any means. shiva, destroyer of worlds. that's what she does. plus there's at least one other sub that's clearly that same god that hasn't been rejected. anyway. just feeling a touch hot after working all day yesterday and all this morning just to get smacked with a rejection.

Resub w/ larger placement, if this gets a big positive response I'll delete the other...but can't quite force myself to delete my first design that's made it to the fog!

They announced the rule in the pre-thread (it wasn't on the rule list where it should have been). I don't like when they do that since it pretty mean to do to us artists. Sorry for you lost time, and I hope you can salvage this design or use it somewhere else since it looks great.
