What's the epicenter of Indian art if not the cultural phenomenon known as Bollywood?

Re: SKINNY DIPPING

What does an Indian elephant do after a long, hot day of carting tourists around? They shed their baskets and hop into the Bay of Bengal to cool off ...

... skinny dipping at its finest.

Hen-na

1 color on orange.

Not only a pun... this shirt is a tribute to Giriraja "The Forest King". Check out this project in India to help poor farmers keep up with the industry. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/video/2008/aug/24/giriraja.chicken

Re: Fractal Mehndi

I think this would look better if the design was a bit larger. Maybe going up one side or even just enlarged a bit on the shirt.

Poses of Indian dance, in sub-continental colours and a hippy-trail tie-dye vibe.

a tribute to the great youtube sensation GOLIMAR!!!.
I tried to put together tradition (the henna inspired designs) and modern (golimar) art this artwork.
Enjoy!

Re: A-Ha Moment

I am REALLY happy with the way the colors on this came out.
Six vibrant colors on cranberry: The Dharma Wheel, and two hands in the attitude of enlightenment - the Darmachakra Mudra.
Larger here.
I'm not a follower, but the vivid colors, artistry of the wheel, the gracefulness of the hands in Mudra all appealed to me. And yes, I did place the colors slightly out of register on purpose. It makes them really POP.

Just thought I would try something using the negative space of the shirt as the stripes of the tiger. Tell me what you guys think, still kinda new around here and trying to get the hang of things.
