Reminds me of Steve from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Really good stuff. +1

asterismW wrote:Love this design. I haven't been a fan of the offerings lately, but this one is amazing. I also vote for a larger (longer) design. I like how it starts at the bottom and works its way up one side, but it needs to go up further, like as high as it can. It just looks... stunted, the way it is now.

Yeah, I've already resubmitted once so I don't know that it's worth it at this point. But if it doesn't print here, I'll definitely submit somewhere else with changes!

The red and the teal are doing some very cool things. Solid design, GMV.

Re: The 1001 Nights

Isn't 1001 Nights more Arabian than Indian..? I checked on wiki and it says it has some roots in India but there is a lot more connection with the Middle East/Persia (Iran) than India.. o_O

It's very aesthetically pleasing though.. :3

Glad you came up with this design in time for Valentine's Day, too!

paigeg wrote:Honey, this ROCKS. It's cute and simple. The expressions and colors will certainly get votes. I think maybe you also get a leg up for Indian fans of the Harmonious Friends, elephants or monks in general.

Thanks Paigeg (and everyone!), I'm really glad it's been so well-received =)

The color choices, angle, etc that you used to place the elephant in the water are really well done.

This is beautiful, evocative, totally non-PROvocative, awesome and deserving of votes.
Kudos. This is stellar.

I've gotta second the motion on the hands... looks like they're misshapen especially in comparison to the rest of the design...

Is this some kind of play on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album cover art?

I'm just confused.

Oh, this is really well-done. I love the animals, the people, the little details along the side, the fact it all forms a map. The sleepy gnu is classic.

Hi there! Vote by signing in, going to the shirt you want to vote for, and you'll see a button that says "I'd want one." Hit that, and it's a vote.

Thankfully it does not pre-order a shirt, or I'd be broke!

This is vibrant. I love the colors. I love the textures. I love the movement. I love the concept. I...can barely see what this has to do with India.

So it's different than the other designs and doesn't include tigers, elephants, henna or the Taj Mahal. I personally think its a great design and has a sense of humor about it. Not everything has to be serious. Great job Spirtgreen.

Re: Red Panda Loves Tea

With this design I wanted to do something that didn't feel like I was stereotyping India. In researching for this derby, I learned the red panda can be found in the eastern most parts of the country. This area also happens to be one of the major tea cultivation areas, so I decided to combine the two.

Comments and suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: No Animals Were Harmed in the Making of this Tea

Five colors on lemon.

Since I don't own a tablet, I had to rely on filters (liquify, etc.) to try to get the shape right for the 'wispy' feel of steam. I'm not totally satisfied, but considering the tools at my disposal I guess it's ok.

Please give me feedback!

Re: Miss India

Clever concept! This is simple and attractive. One minor complaint - her arm looks broken and/or severed. I don't think her hand could get where it is considering where the upper arm and shoulder are.
