Re: Sacred Om

I'm fascinated by this, but also just a leetle off-put by the woman's physique. Not that a lot of women don't have sagging breasts and beer bellies, but... I dunno, not real crazy about it, but love the style and the concept. I guess we'll have to wait and see about the Om.

Re: henna hands

i think it's an excellent idea, but the bottom hand could really use some work. could this also be on a different color?

Neat idea, but I don't think I want a girl with a budda belly on a T-shirt I'm wearing. Sry.

I would like this a lot were the design smaller on the shirt.

Re: Paisley jalfrezi

Another variation on a spicy theme. Playing with Indian textile motifs - paisley and chintz brought traditional Indian designs into homes across the world and onto t-shirts. The out-of-register shadowing brings the handmade artisanal feel into bright modern colours.

I think I might be on grass, seeing six-limbed cows. Lol, honestly, the (unintended?) pun of the grass shirt is the best part.
Oh, and I like the cow, too.

Re: Elephants

Only because the misconception is rampant in this Derby, I wanted to clarify: This is not a design in 'henna'. Henna is a plant, and a color, not a style. Mehndi is the style.

And this is great - beautiful work, and so quickly! Hands hurt much? Eyes crossed?

I worked to try to match the original which also has the second hand a bit awkward

Try drawing like that and you'll see the difficulties in making the position seem natural.

Some closeups... the reflections are just a secondary part of the design, but thought I'd show them closer for those interested...

Do you love chai? I do
Every time I enjoy a cup of it, it makes me think of a swirling spicy Henna pattern dancing on my palette.

The Indian Henna-phant. Hennaing your elephant is the latest rage, your not cool unless your pimp out you pacaderm in the latest designs. Four colors on olive.

Do you have a larger file we could look at? Sadly, at this size, it looks like the elephant is dropping a (actually anything - a mine, a load...). I'd like to see the detail on the basket.

I think it's the shadow that's coming off the bottom hand that makes it look a little awkward. I didn't notice it though (I mean, until someone said something). I love the Esher drawing, and yours is neat too. Nice idea.

I actually wasn't sure if the symbol was made up letters/characters or not ( I know nothing about the language/ dialect), but according to woot, it is. I started a back-up background just in case. I try to upload it soon.
