So the joke is, the Towel Star is paying Pizza Star with a "favor"? Is there an actual well-known phrase that someone is supposed to think of when they see the shirt, or are they supposed to stare at it and assume that this is what the shirt means?

Nothing to do with the subject matter, but there's more than a hint of Botero influence in the stars themselves. In for one.

There's no "joke" here. There's no innuendo, and no play on words.

This is merely a cartoonish homage to a category of silly and bizarre tea that only high school boys and college freshman would find titilating.

You may not like the design, but there is certainly a play on words involved, as "star" is visually punned through the depiction of "prn star". So, yes, there's a joke--though it does not appeal to your personal tastes--through that homonymic pun.

I wouldn't buy it because it's on a brown shirt which I'm sick of. But tea Stars is more funny than the 2nd place. But yeah, I hope Woot has a special on stick extricators for you sometime soon.

Saw the amount of comments(69) on this shirt, and since the name was changed to be more politically correct, thought I should add another comment so it wasn't stuck on 69 comments.

Great shirt! I predict a sellout! Looks like this was a pretty successful derby though (2nd place sold 2000 plus shirts).

Here's the artist's original entry. shirt.woot changed the name of his design to protect the innocent. The official explanation for the change is on the main page under "Today's Woot Creator".

Now, if you're asking how the design is a visual pun on the artist's original title, then...perhaps you're one of the innocent that shirt.woot's trying valiantly to protect.

Congratulations on the print it was a really clever design. I was however, hoping odroc would have gotten a print this weekend to see if woot had the skills to pull it off.

The bio is right on the very front page, in the big box on the right that says "Today's Woot Creator".

Also, there's several posts right in this thread that use the word tea, including the post right above yours. I'll do it again here for you:
