Great design, I also like the fact that it's not your typical style.

Yea,I am glad about that! And yea I am trying things in different styles in order to not trap myself in one and only style.

Btw I have my new website online. Only in french for now but anyway, you can check if you want!

Ummm... woot gave people who want them an artsy shirt. It had a girl's face on it, which is what all yalls want. That forfeits any rights anyone has to complain about what prints ever. Who is anyone to say that the hundreds of pandering shirts that look exactly the same aren't art?

I'm seriously bummed out about this, but I guess it's better to know now than to have my hopes up.

In all seriousness, I am too. This is one of your best designs, and I thought it had a great shot at printing. But hey, there's always room for more unimaginative penguin shirts, right?

Thanks for your comments and votes!

I was definitely not on the ball when it came to submitting this design. Sorry for the lateness of my replies as well!

getshighoncocacola wrote:Not to start an argument or anything since I find nothing whatsoever wrong with this design (though it's not my favorite - no offense to the artist, of course) and I DON'T think it should be rejected, it's a nice shirt, but I am curious why everyone who was attacking the Cthulu shirt for being 'pop culture' is silent here. A depiction of a literary monster from a series of books not read by most of the population is pop-culture, but the walrus and the eggman from a very popular song that most of the population have heard/heard referenced have not? I don't know many people who could properly tell me anything about Cthulu if he/it was mentioned, but almost everyone I know would reply 'Cukoo-kuchu!' if I said, "I am the eggman!" Far more people have heard that song than have read Lovecraft's work.

So, sorry all you 'Cthulu-is-pop-culture!' ranters, but your inconsistencies all but scream artist/subject bashing to me.

I think its because the Beatles references are like easter eggs in this design, while the cthulhu reference was the whole point of the other one.

This shirt is amazing. Great job.

There is no "I" in "Ayatolla."

We lose this, but likely get a reprint of "Imposter"...
Maybe I could stop caring, if I stopped paying attention.

Sonofa.....

This was in the fog all week long. I was COUNTING on buying this shirt.

The "sounds like hell" t-shirt got a late rejection - so this would make the fog - but I guess now it's obvious that this isn't one of the top 3 vote getters. Such a shame - I was sure it was easily in the top 3.

This was a great theme this week - I REALLY wanted to buy 3 shirts. But no. Now maybe one.

It can easily be found by performing an online search. (I imagine Woot wouldn't be happy if I posted a direct link.) The shirt appears to have been posted a few weeks ago on a European website.

Oh, even if the shirt was sold before but I kept full rights on it it can be rejected?

Well, at list I'll know that for the next time.

what a silly reason to reject it! My favorite of all the ones in the fog, still to improve it I would make the clouds in the background a little more dark and ominous and maybe add some tombstones around the DJ booth.

This is awesome. Can it be bought, for example by me, using money to pay for it? The internet is a confusing place sometimes!

Yes, it would still be rejected. Shirts printed here are not supposed to be available elsewhere. 'Similar shirt exists' rule.

lol, it's clever, wrong pen though. the one on your drawing is round. You had to use hexagons or pencils to rewind them manually.

If it's up for voting it doesn't exist - but submitting here does give Woot exclusive rights, I believe.

Sucks that it didn't get knocked out til after voting closed (as far as I can tell) or that it's vote total isn't going to be revealed.

Nah, you just took off the cap and put the pointy end in. It wedged in there with enough pressure to wind the reels.

It's a shame this didn't print. Every week I view the shirts that made it to the fog and the ones I would actually purchase too often don't print because of cartoon penguins, turtles and bunnies. Really great job, this is my favorite of the derby.

I'm happy I got HM for this shirt. It's my second shirt that ends-up in the fog but doesn't print.

Most of all though, I design for fun and love for designing, so your comments are the ones that truly make me happy.

Thank you so-much for the support, and enjoying/voting for my designs.

See you all at the next Double-Take with this shirt.
