It's really cute. Except I have pretty much the exact same shirt with a bunny-penguin in the middle...Would that be redundant?

Best use of a phoenix since The Original Recycler. I don't know what it is about those musical notes, but they simply look fantastic. Needless to say, hope to see this in the fog posthaste.

Don't get too excited. A chumpmagic party mix is just 85 minutes of Gloria Estefan's Conga repeated over and over then toped off with Marvin Gaye's Lets get it on at the end

This is a very obvious play on H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu. The illustration is nice, but it is not within the rules of the derby this week.

Awesome. I am really, REALLY digging the over all design (the silhouette of the characters) and the color palette. Looks terrific!

Re: Cooler than You

Not sure I'd buy it but it's not a bad shirt. The coloring is really nice and I like the cartooning on the penguins(these don't bother me like some of his other penguin designs do).

I will now send the link to my friend who hates penguins just to hear her complain. =]

While I do like puffy headphones, I'm not a fan of the design.

I'm glad you gook my advice and put the cassette and MP3 players BEHIND their hands (wings? Fins?) and not just floating on top of them.

Munchy Attack If you can find the name of this artist & real song title I'll buy you a daily woot shirt (your choice what day)

Re: two turntables and a gramophone

This design comes from my love of all music, is inspired by the intertwined "underground" hip-hop and jazz scenes.

This started around the early 90's in South Central LA.The Goodlife was a health food store on Crenshaw and Exposition, that would have an open mic night for rappers on thursday. The amazing thing about it, is it was a gathering of artists (rappers, painters, dancers, musicians), trying to push themselves and each other artistically. It was the first time I saw rappers with cadences that purposely emulated the sounds of Miles Davis, Bird, Coltrane, ect. Leimert Park was a short drive down Crenshaw, and a hotbed of Jazz. The two scenes mingled and there was nothing like seeing freestyle rapping over improv Jazz. There's a documentary called "This is the LIfe" that looks back at some of the high points of what was going on there in the early 90s.

This Video is a more recent version of rap and live jazz. Busdriver and Kneebody "Gun Control"

This is 1000x better than the predictable penguin shirt currently in the fog.
