Let's see - speaking for myself, I am not ornery unless really provoked (and who is not) and I am certainly not bored. I am a tough New Englander - bad weather, lousey drivers, nasty people, dreary weather - we had it all - that is why on my facebook page pretty much all of my friends from school are still not only alive, but kicking up a storm.

Nope - just dealing with some pretty awful stuff from time to time with parents' and hubby's illnesses. I found the comments on the nightly Woots hilarious and really found myself laughing out loud some evenings/mornings. I found my way to the deals side and annoyed a lot of people. Then I found the "Everything But" and I was sort of afraid to post anything for about a month until I saw what a nice community there is here - at least nobody has tried to kill me yet.

Wow, you read much younger! Really. You do. I figured you were an adult, but not old.

See what happens when nobody give the new people the bubba quiz???

Bubba quiz:

Are you male or female?

Age within 10 years

Time zone, or maybe a state if you are comfortable giving us that.

There was more, according to who administered the quiz.

I found a Wall Street Journal article. I tried to buy the woot that night, but it was sold out.
It was vibrating Tasmanian Devil slippers.
So I have actually been around about 2 months longer than my join date.

80 can be either young or old.
If you live to your 90's , you are usually in good shape at 80.

One grandparent died at 80, and was old for a long time before that.
The other grandparents were fine at 80.

Any chance of flooding?

I know if we get enough rain, we might flood. But there is no water and we don't seem to be in a low spot. But with enough rain anyone can get water in the basement and stuff like that.

My grandfather used his age to speak his mind.
One day in the bank, he told the teller, at 20 something year old girl, "Didn't you look in the mirror this morning? You look like a clown."

He didn't like her makeup.

I bought a WWII surplus military womens dress uniform jacket once. I think it was the only thing I owned that he liked! I wore it with jeans.
It didn't have the military stuff sewn on it. Just the jacket.

Not that close. She was never a very lively person, and she never really talked much. Still, she cared very much for me and the rest of the family. She was 88.

Next week is finals.

Well, at 88, passing away in you sleep isn't all that bad. She wasn't suffering or anything like that, so I consider her fairly lucky.
