In really old-school Boston families, it's tonic. My parents still call it this. I generally say soda, but I do say tonic around them occasionally to keep the term alive.

YES. Thank you, someone else has heard of this. This is what I get for not reading page 3 before replying.

Yea, my favorite with a dash of milk. Twinnings brand.

This is my first ever shirt from woot.com. I ordered medium since that is what I always wear. Hope it fits well!

In honor of the recent rise in the popularity of mustaches (see yesterday's shirt, Evil Bike is Evil), I declare...

TOP THAT MUSTACHE CONTEST!!

Here are the rules:
1) Your photo must be of a mustache and just a mustache, so no beard and mustache, chops and mustache, etc. Just the 'stache.

2)Have fun? Yeah, the above is the only important rule.

I shall now open things up with the ever popular Salvador Dali:

Haha, maybe from somewhere in the "real South". I'm from the deserts of West Texas. I've only ever heard "coke".

Obviously the woot employees don't go to starbucks very often, because starbucks sells a variety of teas, as well as coffee.

Why would you buy tea there when you can keep some bags in your car and just get their free hot water?

I asked my wife if I should get two. She said, "Why would you ever need two?" I said, "So that I have one to wear when the other has tea stains on it." Short answer... No.

Why are there so many shirts with mustaches, or monocles, or tophats lately?
It's as if people are voting for them strictly based on the presence of those elements.
Makes no sense to me.

I don't like the phrase "Cup of Joe." It weirds me out. Maybe that explains why I don't like coffee--and Sloppy Joes.

Heres a tip: When not in the friendly company of other enjoyers of tea, simply drop a sachet of your favorite leafy blend into your cup of coffee. Then you can enjoy your tea, and still walk amongst even the most stunted coffee swilling savages with out drawing the merest of ire or dim content.

If I add your milk, that is manners
If I stop there, claiming ignorance of taste,
that is tea

YES so glad to see that someone beat me to posting a link to "Cup of Brown Joy".. it's like the perfect theme song for this shirt.. In fact every shirt should be shipped with a small slip of paper that says "I say dear chap, you should visit this here linkie thing, and have a listen to the Professor while you don this stylish apparal, and steep yourself a fresh pot of tea."

(the only thing wrong really is that the shirt needs to come on tweed, not brown) well that and perhaps the fact that mr teacup is not wearing his "Fighting Trousers" (video link)

mcameron wrote:Y'all are cracking me up with this. I'm from Texas and have never had some one offer me a "Coke" and then ask what kind! Not saying it doesn't happen because I've heard it does, but I've never had that experience. However, when I order a soda (what I call it) from the drive-thru I ALWAYS specify that I want a "Coca-Cola Classic." Just my own little quirk, but my Midwestern boyfriend thinks that's the greatest thing ever. Laughs his @$$ off everytime. I sternly remind him that I need to ensure I get the right effin-drink and don't mess with Texas.

hahaha! I know we aren't supposed to 'heart' things anymore, but you. I heart you! I was born n razed in Mississippi (gulf coast), and I've never referred to every cola as a Coke. I always asked specifically, Sunkist, Mountain Dew, RC Cola, YooHoo, whathaveyou. But my Yankee bf always says pop and that makes me lolol

This was by far my favorite derby shirt. I kept coming back and checking on it, hoping for some small sign that it was winning (or at least, doing well). I wasn't sure what I would do if it didn't make it to t-shirt status.

Well, I know what I'll do not that it actually WON. 1), congratulate rogerrogerroger on the win (Congrats!!) and 2) go enjoy a lovely hot beverage of our favourite variety :D
