not really....I bake the chicken in the oven, then shred it while I heat the seasoning mix. Mix the chicken in the seasoning, roll 'em up, cover 'em in sauce and cheese, and in the oven they go. pretty damn easy

This is new, I think, but you might want to try it. Old El Paso Tortilla Stuffers. I got the mesquite chicken and it's too hot for us. It's got everything but the tortillas. Put the package in the microwave for 60 seconds, that's it. You need your own sour cream and salsa, whatever. I think there's three kinds.

Edit: I'm guessing it's enough for about three small tortillas.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

GMan, it must be nice to be so overly desirable!
Congrats on the 6-week paid vacay package (I hope your vacation isn't longer, doesn't sound like it will be).

Baking bread, getting over a coding hump, babysitting the game's chatting feature, sleeping toddler on my lap, not much happening here.

Sounds like a pricey snack, but I may check it out. Frozen dinner aisle?

Painted everything but the corners for the main color. Will need to touch up the accent color near the ceiling, but that won't take long.

Means we can steam clean the carpets Monday, move back in on Wednesday. Yay!

No, it's not refrigerated. In the Mexican stuff. Three tortillas wouldn't be enough for dinner? There's about a cup and 2/3 in them.

Sounds wonderful! I've got a ceiling to take out and replace in a week or two (haven't decided if we are going to do it before or after visiting the grandparents.

Never been overly desirable. And this ain't a vacay. It can become a real problem if I'm out of work too long.

well, somethin was too salty thinkin it was the seasoning mix.

I don't salt anything....have really lost the taste for salt. Amazing for someone who grew up in a family that salted EVERYTHING. Hell, even had them lil salt dips to put beside yer plates fer fancy days. Can't believe I used to salt stuff like canteloupe & watermelon.

speaking of watermelon....has anyone ever tried putting good balsamic vinegar on watermelon? tas-tee!

Oh you could look on the optimistic and bright side! I know it's not a real vacation, I know it's trouble if the jobs you are courting don't pan out. Just trying to remind you to enjoy it a bit. Because hopefully, and from the state of your reasonably cryptic reports it sounds like this little intermission won't last long.

Believe me, I know what it looks like if I'm wrong.

I'm sorta the same way (well at least until my surgery ever since when I've had salt-deficiency issues). My Grandad would put so much salt on everything! My uncles and dad tried to over-salt a hamburger for him and he still insisted it needed more salt before he could eat it.

I only salt a bit while cooking, rarely add salt after prep, the only exception right now is popcorn, that has to be salty!

I even buy low-salt potato chips...

and I don't even have a medical reason to embrace a low-salt diet!

I rarely salt anything either. When I was a kid I used a lot of salt but all but stopped adding it when I was in my late teens.

I came from a no salt house because dad had a heart condition. Hubby came from a house where you got a pile of salt on your plate to dip stuff in.

Mother in law had us bringing her salt packs from the cafeteria when she was in the hospital.

I have a phone number that now rings in my own apartment, rather than someone elses. And internet service that works.

I wonder if it will last. Today's technician was horrified.

no one. their guy yesterday didn't set it up. the wires for their line weren't connected.

I was on the phone with the tech when he was looking in the box. He tested the # and found mine, connected to their apt. He was mumbling and said something along the lines of "there's the other one, just loose" or something.

I haven't talked to the neighbors to see if theirs is even working. I didn't get home until almost 8:45 so I didn't feel like going over there. besides, it took me a bit to make sure mine was working.

I'm glad it's working. You never said why it is that you can only use Verizon - other than it was based on where you live. If it's an apartment restriction you definitely need to let the landlords/property management firm know about all the troubles you've had. They might bring that up when they renegotiate their contract with Verizon (if that's why you are stuck with them anyway).

Kids loved the homemade bread so I made more today. I hope I didn't mess it up, I forgot to add some stuff so I added it a little late. Reviews say the dough is really forgiving. I hope so.

It's a restriction because of the complex. They have a contract with DirectTV, which doesn't have internet. Only option is Verizon DSL.

Apt Manager is frustrated with both companies for a variety of reasons. Comcast came out yesterday to determine what it would take, and cost, to hook up to the complex. I'm crossing my fingers on that!

Just dropping by. Egad I was so sleepy today - no particular reason because I slept well last night. Pretty rough Tstorm tonight - lightning all around the house. Even the dog woke up!
