Re: DOOM SQUAD Los Muertos
Skulls and guns, etc. not something I really wear, but the linework is great and the coloring just beautiful. Perfect collab!
Cylara wrote:Maybe he was going for the original comic, where they all wore red because...well..they were one clan? They changed the colors for the cartoon, I was told because they didn't think kids were smart enough to tell the difference between the characters otherwise. The cartoons and movies are definitely more well known, so I admit I see your point. It's just the word "proper" that I really have an issue with in your post.
exactly. The original comics were great, the cartoon was Sirius GPP as hell.
Re: LuCha-huahua
Please visit the updated version (click the thumb above or in the signature. The one with the "shiney eyes!"). Please re-vote on the updated version "LuCha-huahua" Thanks, y'all! Brushfire (Art design) & BlindDog3D (Colour & seps)
Re: Summer Dream
+1. Excellent colour combination! The squares on the right hand side look perfect. The textures look great too. The waves on their own look good. However, there is something about the inverted-trapezoid (that the waves form)that has something..misplaced, I guess. Maybe keep both sides of the wave formation consistent in pattern/have only one border of waves??
Sorry, not 'inverted trapezoid', I should say sideways trapezoid!
Re: La Calavera
This would look so sick on a shirt, and people wouldn't feel the need to ask me what the shirt is about (like some of the others I've bought).
endangeredomega wrote:I fully expect to be slammed for making the comparison, but I can't help but think back to this entry: http://shirt.woot.com/derby/entry.aspx?id=39461
No, I agree. I knew I'd seen a design like this on here somewhere before. It's not exactly the same, but it's too close for comfort in my opinion.
Re: TMNT- A Killer Combination
Yeah, they all had different colors in the *VIDEO GAMES*... 15 video games in the TMNT video game franchise, to be exact. This may get the axe, good luck with that... Love your movie deal with DraxXx! BlindDog3d
Is there a bunny on the shore or something? Just kidding. This is actually pretty good, [insert previously made comments re: size].0
Re: !Go Frida Y Diego Go!
resub now in full color on yellow. Had a number of comments on the other submission so wanted provide that option to see if this works better. here's a link to a larger version of the design

Yeah! Now the reference is unmistakable! Awesome work, Midgerock! Deeper colors make it more appealing! BlindDog3d
Yes, it needed that to complete the picture. Awesome as usual. BlindDog3D

Re: [url=http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=53976]They call me
This is a great design, but don't they always say "No Star Wars"?
Patrick, I'm wearing your "Summer Skies" Tshirt as I type this! It's my 1st woot Tshirt and I absolutely lo-o-o-ove it! Your designs are amazing and this is no different! Vote!+1 (please vote for mine and BlindDog3D's, if you like it) BG

Re: Arroz con Pollo in Death to the Undead
+1
Re: The Three Amigos
I really love that the shirt is the guacamole. +1
Re: La Ceiba
I am very happy that this shirt has nothing to do with mexican food... Great design! +1 from me
QFT. Also, there's no rule that states pop-culture references are required to be 'smack-you-over-the-head-with-a-clue-by-four' obvious. IMHO, some of the best trend more towards subtle.
Re: Aztec Sunset
This is stunning.
Re: Cocijo's 925
Bizarre and very cool, chump! :D
Re: El Luchador
At first I was expecting to see a polar bear or a bird in this image. Can't imagine why.
Thank you so much for these comments. I really enjoyed working on this, and I'm glad you guys like how it turned out. Here is a larger version. Right click and hit View Image to see all of it.

Yeah, I feel the same way. My 2 yr old daughter asked me to draw him a blanket because he looked cold.
ADORIBLE!!! I couldn't wait to see what you came up with for this derby. Muy Bueno! (pardon my spanish its not very good!)
I much prefer your other post this week. This seems a little like a taco with a face on it. "You were going to slap button eyes on a taco and call it a day, weren't you? Come on. You're better than that" just sayin.
Re: La Fiesta
I will definitely buy this if it prints. I love the use of pink and gray.
Very impressive textures and coloring techniques.
Re: Guadalupe Hidalgo
Love that pencil sketch look.
ichimunki wrote:way too much like the mexican wrestlers rock/paper/scissors shirt that I already got from woot.
Dang. They sure look similar. To be honest, I was trying to channel some Walmazan in this design, but I hadn't seen that one. I think I like his better.
Re: What do you mean Roswell's in NEW Mexico?
I really like the simple red, black, and white color combo.
Re: Ancient Astronaut
This is very impressive. If it doesn't print here, try it out somewhere that does larger size printing. It would look wonderful filling up more of the shirt.
Re: Espiritu
I love these colors. Her face is my favorite part. Beautiful work.
Re: El Zorro
I want this shirt
I love this! Beautiful!
