El Zorro is a U.S. character that defends the poor in old time Los Angeles.... Not Mexican

Re: Tortilla Origami

On the one hand, it's really funny, but on the other hand, a part of me think's that without the funny title it could just look like a taco instruction kit.

However, as it also would make for a good reference while cooking, this has my vote.

That's a good point. I thought about a Zorro tee and then smacked my forehead when I found out the stories are set in Spanish colonial California. Maybe there's a Mexican connection I'm not aware of?

Well anyway, the linework and coloring is really sharp here, Ramy.

But its a Spanish name.... and that sir, is not American. You need to work on your racial profiling. :P

Zorro was a video game... Maybe not a very good one.

The setting is California, but from a time much different from now- not when it was part of the US. Zorro fought against the Spanish on behalf of Mexico in the area. He has also been called the Mexican Robin Hood.

I think that the symbols may be to close to copyright, and the presence of the TP might be too close to toilet humor for woot.

Alta California (where the pueblo Los Angeles was located) was a part of Mexico at the time the character Zorro would have lived. The more important issue is that the character was created by an American.

Re: El Zorro

Ramyb I apologize. When I first joined woot your four shirts on the reckoning were "imposter" "cooler than you" "i'm not contagious" and some other unamusing cutesy animal tripe. I ranted I insulted and mocked all of your designs. I guess you must have been having a bad streak at the time or something because since then you have put out much better shirts such as the planet one, the cat in the hat, and now this. You are not a bad artist with no talent. You just seem to make a lot of really bad shirts. I will try to be more receptive of your designs. Just stay the @$!@ away from those goshdarn penguins.
