I like the simple blocky style and the white on gray looks really good. I particularly dislike the detail on the club and the blue outline of the seal in the new design. The only improvement in the new version, as far as I'm concerned, is that the ice chunk is clearly floating in water. A few black ripple lines around the ice in this one would probably look good. But really, it's the simplicity that I find attractive.

Thanks man I originally had this on brown shirt but I would have needed another color and it would have pushed me over six.

I'm surprised this isn't in the fog where some of the other shirts while nice aren't exactly designs I would consider wearable. With that said, I'm personally not going to wear this design but I plan on buying one for a lady friend if it prints.

A quick thanks for everyone's support. This one wouldn't have been possible without some great feedback from some of the other artists.

Opposite, perhaps, but not role reversal?

It's a cute shirt, but if bacon loves heart isn't correct, this isn't either. With as harsh as they've been being, I'm shocked mine is still up. Oy!

I'm surprised this shirt isn't getting more love. Great use of the shirt color, excellent detail on the arrow & target, and the coloring is superb down to the apple texturing. Maybe you can drop the inner red circle and pitch this to Target. Great work +1

This is a very confusing design comp, it's crowded and all over the place with NO information about the design.

What and how many colors are there?

Yeah, the design comp is crowded and a little difficult to showcase how the design will look on a shirt.

I found 7 colors, am I counting right? Green, dark green, brown, tan, light blue (highlights), black, pink. (6 is the maximum allowed.)

I'm not sure what would be the best way to pare it down a color, except perhaps not including the cookie and ice cream cone as part of the design. When I think "vegan" anyway, I don't think about cookies and ice cream, since ice cream (usually) has dairy in it.

seedsofsedition wrote:so are you saying that the anatomy should be more exaggerated? The facial features off? Just because you'd make a passing drag queen doesn't dispute the fact that ...

The viewer does not have the benefit of seeing the pair dancing as does the artist. Therefore, the viewer must fill in the details using the viewer's imagination. Sufficient detail is not available to present your idea of a man being dipped by a woman while dancing.

The facial features of the woman are vague enough to require a second obvious form to correctly identify gender. The chest and shoes are not obvious enough to provide that second form to say "yes, that is a woman." The figure does not present a clear gender distinction. The pose obscures the feminine features of hip to waste ratio, slender narrowing legs, and slender arms that would also provide a positive gender identification.

The facial features of the man are less vague than the female. The male figure appears to have arms that are less "macho" for lack of a better description. His pose also obscures the masculine features of larger arms, larger chest, and chunkier calfs.

For this to be effective for me the pose, figures, clothing, and features must be enough to identify gender soley on first glance. Gender first action second. If I have to study it, then it is too complex for a t-shirt.

Otherwise, not bad for a scan & color. Like the socks on the nerd.
BlindDog3D

Yes, I usually draw my cartoon characters with 3 fingers. I've seen a lot of pro cartoonists do it.

Thanks for the compliment! If you just scan at really high resolution, say 600, you can get excellent results.
