Re: experiments

For future reference...

The thumbnail needs to match the design, or the entry will be rejected. Also, make sure the color of the shirt you select is one Woot offers. Great comp, but even had this been submitted on day 1, it would have been rejected.

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.

Check the forums. There's a derby thread each week, and had you posted this, all of these errors could have been identified in advance. The artists here are great about providing feedback and guidance.

Right. But it doesn't happen by the sun blocking our view of the moon. It happens by the Sun being behind us, and casting Earth's shadow on the moon.

Agreed, it's a great shirt and a nice departure from his usual style (although I still hope for the day when a Kevlar robot prints).

blinddog3d wrote:Like: The clever spaceship designs, the "tractor" beam, and the background.

Don't like: Alien & the cow. They look a different style than the rest of the design. I do like the colors on the alien.

I voted anyway because this deserves more than 7 votes. It's not THAT bad!

BlindDog3D

Thanks for the vote! You may be right that the characters are in a bit of a different style. I'm glad you enjoyed the background.

Like your design very much, but olive green makes me look like a zombie, so I won't be getting one. But I'll watch for your work! Jewel tone colors are also a nice change from black, and I can wear those.

No, a role reversal titled "illegal operation" would be more like a computer controlling a human that is committing a crime.

  • Congratulations on winning a Best Loser Award!
  • This is not SPAM.
  • Winning a BLA does NOT mean this shirt won't print -- I'm hoping it does.
  • Your one and only gift is this crappy little badge in your shirt thread. Enjoy.

I want this shirt! I would absolutely buy it, and wear it often as one of my favorite shirts.
I haven't voted on any other shirt in this derby.

Also if the derby-view thumbnail for this entry better represented the whole (wonderful) design I think it would have better chances of being in the fog.
As it is, I think just seeing the brightly colored, and slightly 'cartoony' flying fish gives an impression that is far less artful, complex and cool than the shirt actually is.

Great entry! One of only about half a dozen shirts I've seen on shirtwoot in the last few months that I really love and want.

My feelings exactly! I really hope this one print!
But I long for the day that I can purchase one of Kevlar's robot shirts!
Keep up the good work on these designs!
