This was pretty much my reaction as well. "Oh, it's a pencil doing some sharpening ha ha clever..............asihfaufhu there's a person being grinded to death!? :0." Gruesome, but subtly so. Well done.

Astronomer wrote:Nice artwork, but I'm not sure I see the role reversal here. Isn't this the way the fairy tale actually ended?

This...Sort of. From wikipedia(read the original German version a few years ago, but this seems correct from what I remember):"Gretel instantly shoves the witch into the oven, slams and bolts the door shut...Gretel frees Hansel from the cage and the pair discover a vast treasure and precious stones. Putting the jewels into their clothing, the children set off for home..."

If the witch was caged up, and the children were getting reading to eat her, then the "role reversal" part might hold true. In this case, where it is implied that the witch has been killed(and is in the oven), the situation portrayed is too similar to the original source to be considered a reversal.

"Don't believe in the you who believes in me. Don't believe in the me who believes in you. Believe in the you who believes in yourself."

Hope you don't mind, like I mentioned in the pre-derby thread, I felt it was a unique enough approach that there was room for both. Good luck!

Can't believe I'm just now 'getting' the concept here. The sasquatch looking out at us. I love it.

Re: Dinner For Two

I remember it being discussed before, but why aren't fairy tales consider pop-culture? They are pretty well know by all in this day and age.

I know it was discussed awhile back in another entry. Does any one have a link to that or remember the reasoning?

Very original take on robot-human role reversal. It was an idea I tried to work with, but you nailed it!
