Advice to D'name:
Sunday, get in the car with hubby and drive west.

Good point. Since hubby's on vacation, go to Niagara Falls. Just about due west. Shouldn't be too crowded right now.

Hubby is a "it aint gonna happen " type of guy.

We are 10 miles from the water and because of all the rain this year, we know we are also on level ground that drains quickly.

Wind is another matter.

Hubby isn't even willing not to park under the tree.

Hubby is a pia!

Sorry about me and the word games. Actually I did not associate weightless with shampoo, altho that is certainly used all the time.

Just told DName to come to FL - hopefully this is going to miss us. Looks like it anyhow. How are you going with grey/gray around eye and back? Mine is OK now.

Mine's still gray. Not very noticeable with glasses on.

The county doesn't agree with hubby.
They are talking about evucating the barrier islands.
They are low and narrow.

Good thing my step father thought about hurricanes and they bought a house way above the line that they always said would be evacuated .

Well, I better get my peanut butter and bread. Plus D batteries for the flashlights.

We found several pet friendly motels when we thought we would have to take our lab with us out of town this summer. We then discovered that our friends would love to come pet sit.

There are a lot of motels that take pets. Rusty would love a vacation.

w00t! got my refurbed furnace back today!

// happy dance in chair

and it looks like I can get a torch setup for the next project phase for less than a thousand bucks, which is good for the project budget!

// more happy dancing

and I'm starting to think that maybe I just might be a bit odd. a coworker commented today that I was unnaturally obsessed with glass when I couldn't stop grinning like a fool while talking his ear off about this weeks progress developments.

but I don't care! 'cause my furnace is back, and I get to melt stuff again! and it's fixed and I have a legitimate excuse to not share it with other other labs now!

// happy dancing like a fool

It is to see how low we can go.

Actually a psychologist was on Jon Steward last night. (repeat) He wrote a book on presidents.
It seems a degree of mental illness is good in a president in bad times.
If you are manic depressive you get good ideas in the manic part.

Oboma seems quite normal. Which is not what the country needs now.

I could, but my home is here.A Canadian consevitive government is still left of the American namesake.At least I do always have that option, as well as the perspective on Perry that most of the country that hasn't lived in the state that he "governed" doesn't.My remark on him had nothing to do with his politcal affiliation but rather his moral hypocricy and his seemingly pathological distain for the very country he theatened to secede from.
