Eww, I was thinking of using that this month. Found out some of his doggie friends have fleas.
I have it, but I use the Frontline.
Just did the drops and Rustys bath later that week.

I have always used Advantix. They are also on Sentinel, so I am not overly concerned about fleas. But since it is getting cooler the ticks will be looking for warm bodies so that's why I decided to put Advantix on today. Might hafta hit my Novartis rep up for their new product - same ingredients as Frontline - just got approved in NY.

Found out lots of the dogs he plays with get nothing put on them.

With all the rain, the vegetation has gone nuts! We were lost in the woods behind the dog park. We were on the path! It was just so overgrown. It is only a few acres and the person i was with was use to the area. We had to go by elevation! Down hill is parking lot.

Yeah, I might break out the advantix for next month.

Mid sept to oct is prime tic time?

Plus that is when the fire island beach ignores dogs. Fire Island is the land of deer tics. The deer there look so scroungy.

ticks are most active in spring, then mid-June when the larval ticks hatch, then in the fall when it starts to get cold. Just remember that ticks are active any time it is over 40 degrees, so even in mid-winter if there is a warm-up, you may very well see ticks.

I put it on him year round.
Vet gave me heartworm/tic stuff, because he is allergic to the flavoring in the heartworm pill. But the vet said the tic part wasn't that great. Put the tick stuff on him too.
So I put him back on the pill. Maybe in the dead of winter, I might just use that.

The skys are getting that wintery-blue cast to them that's only found on the Gulf Coast. Almost time for winter clothes. Glee!

I haven't had a chance to wear real winter clothes in more than six years. I look forward to it.

And happy birthday, to Rain, as well as a nice-to-meet-you.

Morning everyone. I hope everyone has a great day today, and that nothing happens.

How sneeky of him.

Reminds me of the little ghost girl my younger brother claims stole his pop-tart. He also swears she giggled at him from the hallway after she did it.
