I have always used Advantix. They are also on Sentinel, so I am not overly concerned about fleas. But since it is getting cooler the ticks will be looking for warm bodies so that's why I decided to put Advantix on today. Might hafta hit my Novartis rep up for their new product - same ingredients as Frontline - just got approved in NY.

Plus that is when the fire island beach ignores dogs. Fire Island is the land of deer tics. The deer there look so scroungy.

ticks are most active in spring, then mid-June when the larval ticks hatch, then in the fall when it starts to get cold. Just remember that ticks are active any time it is over 40 degrees, so even in mid-winter if there is a warm-up, you may very well see ticks.

The skys are getting that wintery-blue cast to them that's only found on the Gulf Coast. Almost time for winter clothes. Glee!

I haven't had a chance to wear real winter clothes in more than six years. I look forward to it.
