Good morning everybody! Third run of green beans came out of the canner a little after midnight. I'm pretty sure we filled the jars a little too full. I would like to try again. There is a learning curve!

M-i-l's eye doctor visit completed. I'm friggin' worn out.
Told her I'd leave @ 7:30 to pick her up, @ 7:31 I get a call from her asking if I'd forgotten..."ah no, I'm right around the corner..."Then she argues where the office is... Her apointment was @ 8 so we waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes until someone showed up to unlock the office doors.
She then argues with the girls there on what tests she had done last time she was there.
Shoot me now please!

I need a friggin' nap.

A lot areas were hit hard by localized flooding; still many roads closed due to washouts and bridge failures.

Snow had nothing to do with the probs here!

We started out with ground close to saturation, but there was a month or so with no rainfall, and that let a lot of places dry out. My mom visited in July, and there were places that were very dry then. Same places are floating away now.

That's about what we saw in NJ yesterday. A few roads still with standing water, lots of businesses with little stock on the shelves.

Granddaughter #2 has a study hall first bell, so she's allowed to come in in time for second bell. That wouldn't have been thought of when I was in school. It really helps this year with no busing for high school, that way traffic consisting of hundreds of new drivers can be avoided.
