Lol, I love their expressions. The little highlights add a lot of texture, too. Nice work+

On the other hand, maybe flesh-colored, wiener-shaped animals make terrific t-shirt designs.

Thanks! The castle idea came first, then "Oh, wouldn't a cute little knight on a hobby horse be great!" Thankfully, my son is a very reliable source for adorableness.

jasenlangley wrote:Well I have made a second submission with altered color separation and halftone process using Woot's prescribed method. It has 5 Pantone spot colors in halftone dots, no overlap, and 30 LPI. Unfortunately the submission page seems to be flooded and I can't get it through. Keeps timing out on me.

That's likely due to the BOC today.

move along

I really really hope you win. It's so good. This is the reason I still love woot. A straight forward just plain gorgeous looking shirt.

Well I finally got the second 5 color spot to go through. Even though this shirt is way behind the pack leaders, I would certainly appreciate a recasting of votes by those of you who have so kindly given me your vote.

Re: O-sensei and the Ox

O-sensei, the “Great Teacher,” and the Ox
6 colors on Creme

Ueshiba Morihei, or O-sensei as he was called, was as wise as an Owl and strong as an Ox. Guarding his power was his Obi. O-sensei practiced Daito Ryu and founded the way of harmonizing with force and energy called Aikido, in 1942. He was a Master of the Jo staff.

O-sensei was a self educated farmer, a simple man, who wrote poetry, calligraphy, and he was an O-moto Ryu Priest but he could crush your wrist bones in his bare hand.

Legend tells that O-sensei could stumble a man at 30 paces with just his voice! Being the only survivor from an ambush, while escorting a diplomatic entourage in Manchuria, it is said he could dodge bullets! Standing in the middle of crossfire, he could feel the aim of his attacker’s guns and would anticipate their “line” of fire. Not a single bullet touched him!

It is perceived that this is who George Lucas modeled Obi-wan Kenobi from when he created the Jedi, in Star Wars, after seeing footage of the awesome, mysterious power of O-Sensei from 1942.

Re worked and Resumbited on Creme.

*VOTE* (PLEASE!)

Funny, you joined today, with that name, simply to post this picture.

Either you're a wooter who doesn't want to come out and say what they think or...

You are some one who is currently under probation for other offenses and can't help coming back to woot to post stuff up.

Re: Orintholestes Spot V2

I should have included a detail of it, but this one actually utilizes the preferred spot color halftones of Woot instead of a typical 4 color process print like my previous entry. IE - No overlapping tones, all single color dots/mesh and generous use of the shirt color as a tone of the piece.

I'd like to thank everyone who voted for the other, and encourage you all to cast your vote again on this more inline with Woot rules shirt. Thanks again for the compliments as well.

porridge wrote:This time marks my first actual vote for a Ramyb design in my time at shirt.woot (a bit over a year). It's nice to see you submitting designs that aren't just cute animals, for once. I'll actually probably buy one if this wins.

Fun fact I learned yesterday: everyone PWNYes about ramyb "only" doing cute animals when, in fact, he does NOT only do cute animals -- those are just the designs that shirt.woot votes for more. http://shirtwhat.com/archive_a.php?artist=ramyb

Some of his best designs, imo, didn't print. And if you look at the comments on those pages, you'll notice people bash him for doing non-cute stuff too.

bluetuba wrote:I love this, and I love the fisherman on top. From a distance it'll just look like a cool octopus shirt, and then you are treated with a wacky detail once you see it closer.

The real question is, Is that octopus reaching for the fisherman to devour him or just a friendly tap on the shoulder?

Going to push him into the water, I think. ^_^ Octopii are kind of OMGOMGOMGPONIESOMG PWNIESs like that.

Re: Ocho O's

Col design, great character. Based on the fact that the design detail is smoother than the shirt comp, I think when you reduced the image size from 300 to 72 dpi for the shirt comp, you might have had "Preserve nearest neighbor" on which gave your shirt comp such a jagged appearance. I hope that makes sense.
