ctp2nd wrote:Kinda rough with the comment, don't ya think? The subject is clearly Liono from Thundercats! (HO!!!!) and the age of the character is clearly pretty darn young... 4 years old seems reasonable to me... and the quality of the artwork is second to none... Maybe check the attitude at the comment box next time and attempt to offer a reasoned and constructive thought about the art... otherwise, you're just another troll in the wall...

Not really, I thought the same thing and I thought it was presented in a "Matter of fact" manner. There is only one character on the design and saying he's only 4 years old is kinda stretching it. AND the artwork is second to SEVERAL ahead of him. Just "4" the record, the character's name is "Lionel" from the Thundercats.

I think you are the one trolling someone trying to ask a valid question. It's not all bunnies, lollipops, and gummibears, here at woot, even though that's what usually wins. People are battling for $1000. It's a checks and balance system. People that walk the tightrope are subject to question & review.

So, "Maybe check YOUR attitude" and don't get so defensive, this is war!

This rabid book fan, LOVES the movie. It was better than I had thought they'd do. I'm quite happy with it.

Also, will buy at least 2 of these shirts, if not three! I bought 3 Epic Battles.

This is quite good, I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention. It takes skill to make a shirt that's clever but that the wearer doesn't have to explain to people.

Re: Roll a D 4!!! Roll a D 4!!!

Great shirt - bummer on the rejection. Perhaps just use 4's in all locations on the die. Also, notice the die you have is incorrect, the bottom numbers should all be the same.

Really impressive! I love each of their symbols - weak and strong with nuclear symbols , cause they are nuclear forces, and electromagnetism with a magnet, and gravity with an apple!!! Love it!

Caddywompus wrote:What color would you suggest? Is cream not a popular color? I've seen a of people complain about red shirts.

As for the additional color palette, I want to keep the colors muted and try to maintain the sumi painting feel.

Do you guys think it needs more color cause the design looks too flat? Needs more contrast with the shirt?

Actually this one stands out to me because it is on cream. I don't see enough cream in the derby entries. I think it adds great contrast to the black, simple design.

But, but, it's a cool design, & I like it...So there! ;-P

I'm kind of tempted to make them for lots of other countries now, though. You see lots of flag shirts around, but I don't think I've seen many with the country/flag combination like that.

The story: at a camp, everyone was told to think of an inanimate object, my friend and I each independently thought of "fork". Ever since it has been used a word to say that we are on the exact same wavelengths.

Yes, I realize that this is a completely different wavelength....

Re: Four More Years!

Very nice style and awesome use of the shirt color. +1

EDIT: Maybe not so much about the use of the shirt color... it appeared on my phone that the tie was using the shirt color but a closer look revealed it to be colored with a separate red ink.

GMV :-)

yeah, it's been woot's way for quite a while that they use the theme as more a guideline than a rule. So, as long as there's something at all close to the theme, they aren't gonna reject it. Even if they were being more strict about on-theminess, this seems pretty well on theme to me. I can't imagine a rejection for being off-topic on this one.

Re: The Original Benders

Maybe add very muted, unsaturated color to each of the animals? Just enough to add some pop to them but not much. Very light shading, like watercolor mark on a piece of paper. Otherwise I really like this, and especially on cream. GMV!
