Thank you everyone for all the great comments and support.
Where I live, summer temperatures rise above 110. The red symbolizes red hot summers. As I was designing this shirt I thought about how different artists living in different areas would show the temperatures and change in seasons differently within their color choices. Thanks again everyone.

I do think that these designs are probably popular with girls! I just don't think that "This style is bad because girls like it" is a valid critique, which was suggested upthread. It's depressing. Same with the comment about men who love men, which was frustrating enough that I wanted to say something.

I agree with everyone else...the little ship is an awesome touch. Perhaps more oddities like that could liven it up a bit? And I agree, the clouds are a bit much but I like how you did them...maybe also have some water falling off the edge not just the clouds? My 2 cents, take it or leave it =P

I really enjoy this design. It's got a very 80's feel to me for some reason...maybe the colors, I don't know. I could totally see myself wearing this to the beach if it were on a lighter color shirt lol. Nothing against black, and I don't know if the colors would pop as well on anything BUT black. But it IS avery "summery" shirt, and black is the opposite of summer =P

Re: Four Seasons In One Day

I love that you've done a different take on the four seasons than what we usually see. The colors are bright and lovely (and I keep pawing at that warm, warm orange...) I also love that the edges of the design are actually the edges of a leaf. Like leaves have fallen on top of the design, hiding it away from us, but the design still manages to shine through.

However, I think that the leaf in the center stands out too much. It's outlined very distinctly, making it feel forced, and I feel that it takes away from the overall design.

I'm wondering if, rather than having the leaf be blue (very nicely shaded, that it is), it would have looked less forced if the brown of the shirt had been allowed to be shown through there? The branches would lead into the leaf without outlining it heavily, so it would not stand out as obviously. It would probably also compliment the leafy edges of the design.
