I totally fail to grok The Binge, but then I never once got drunk during college, so I'm not the target audience.

Yeah, it's definitely a YMMV environment. Binge doesn't do anything for me, but Nevermore is a favorite.

My (adult) son's preferences are just reversed. What in the world, he wonders, has kept Nevermore on the list more than a week or two??? Weak-minded buyers, he's sure.

That annoyed me so much that I bought a third one during the next woot-off. I showed him!

Not everyone can be featured here on Shirt.Woot. There's a certain air of geekery we like to maintain, and our Art Directors have selective taste. So just what does it take? We figured we'd ask Goopymart, the 4th designer ever featured on the site (with Sea Chimp, of course), for his thoughts on what success requires. Not one to mince words, Goopy's short and to the point...

When was your first encounter with Shirt.Woot, and what was your first impression?
I don't know if I remember my first "encounter," but I think my first design was the "yay taco" shirt...can't go wrong with tacos!

How has Shirt.Woot changed your life?
Shirt.Woot helped me get out some cool designs for people to wear. It lead to more exposure for my artwork and more client work!

What would your dream t-shirt site be like?
My dream shirt is already made -(one that works with augmented reality) but with an added boost; that the image you get is updated by an rss feed; a new shirt every hour!

What are your four favorite designs in the current Reckoning?
The Binge & Funny Things are Everywhere

We bet he's probably not one for long goodbyes either, so we'll just put a button on our week of 4th Birthday shenanigans here. Thanks again to all of you for visiting, voting, and buying!

It's possible, though it won't be easy. It's not just this week's sales to make up, but the previous weeks' too.

It does seem to have impacted positively on Shelf Life sales, but you're right about the baggage of previous week's sales. It hasn't been enough to shift in the ranking and I'm not sure what sort of volume it would need to get any upward momentum. Little did I know the added meaning the name Shelf Life would gain as the design prolonged it's stay here in the reckoning. It's not the sort of design that prints every week so I'm grateful people gave it the opportunity they did, and hope as many as have possible to got pick one up for themselves.

Fare thee well, Danger Zone shirts! Your time with us may have been brief, but that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye. Even though the oldest of you was only here four short weeks, we'll remember the time we had together fondly. This is just the way these things go, though. People change. They buy different shirts. Your ranking in The Reckoning drops and every Monday we cut you loose. No hard feelings, old friends.

Silly dragons, couldn't you have held on for just another couple of hours? Ah well, thanks to everyone who picked one up! I finally got mine this week and it looked as good as I'd hoped. Many thanks to Woot for the opportunity to have it printed. ^__^

Commiserations to the other poor reckoned souls. I'm surprised to see Shelf Life go this week, it seemed to have pretty good numbers.

It was only earlier this morning that 20th and 21st swapped places. The lack of activity in the final minutes can't confirm whether it was just one shirt that made the difference, however, but they were close nonetheless.

I'm sad to see it go too. Alas, the past two weeks weren't as strong, and that dragged down the average.

The coming Reckoning should be interesting - Classmates should blast to the top and there are several others that, if they continue to sell well, should get out of the basement quickly. Anybody complaining about too much pop culture or not enough diversity need only look at Oak's performance this week.

I bought both and I do like Four Seasons in One Day better, but I'm wondering how much of the difference is the central leaf [biggest complaint in the thread] as opposed to Seasons getting a boast from the RamyB fanclub?

I like Four Seasons better myself, but haven't bought it yet due to having way too many brown shirts at the moment. The leaf doesn't really bother me, but it must bother some enough to pick Ramy's design over it. Guess we'll see in the next week or so.

Also if people wanted a 4 seasons shirt they likely bought the 1st, then failed to buy a second.

Honestly, it's very hard to say what the buying habits are when it comes to Woot's audience. Case in point, Just A Little Paint versus Odd Bear Out. Both out of the same derby, both kelly green shirts, both white and panda bears, yet a big difference in sales and longevity through the reckoning.

And I bought Odd bear Out - although it took me awhile - and Just A Little Paint was cute, too, but didn't do it for me.

The day after it reckoned and I finally hold Shelf Life in my hands. Really happy to see how it printed on different sizes. Super pleased it got to print considering what it took to get it done. Can't thank people enough for giving it a go and especially want to pay tribute to the those who have been such vocal supporters in the forums and bought extra copies to extend it's shelf life.
Now it's Four Season's shot and I'm just grateful to be in the position of having two prints here. It's interesting that the design polarises people for the reasons it does. Quite a few commenters suggest they would buy it if it was done differently, but that would be a different shirt. This is the one that was submitted more than a day into the derby, hit the fog in less than 24hrs and people are now choosing to buy. Anyone wanting a different shirt are not short of options on this and other sites.
