I didn't think you were trashing her at all. I was just pointing out how I thought the example you gave was actually on theme. I still would like to see how yours is on theme.

My aunt is kind of a terrible person, but thanks for the well wishes anyway!

Thanks! Is the mouse still readable as the pointer? I'm probably leaving it in either way, but wanted to make sure I didn't go too abstract on that.

Ahhh, this is great- I was thinking something riddle-of-the-sphinx-ish needed to show up at some point- great work.

Re: Afternoon stroll through the park

Am I the only person who is concerned that this clearly wouldn't be considered 8-bit? There is far too much detail to be 8-bit. This is 16 bit or probably better.

Word on the street is that some of you are planing on getting this design tattooed on your chest rather than buying this shirt, we have no problem with that but it'd be nice if you still voted. Thanks

Re: Cat Decoy

Speaking as a dude who also has a kitty cat shirt in this derby, I really like that cat. It's cute.

To be fair almost none of these are pixelated enough.

They are all about 16-bit level or more. Only a very few are truly NES 8-bit level. Which IMHO is why almost everything should be rejected.

I thought you were going to fix the discrepancy between the progress bar itself and where it looks like the book is.

Thanks. It was actually my niece asking me the riddle of the Sphinx the other night that gave me the idea for this.

Is MAYBE spelled wrong for effect or just spelled wrong? Otherwise, this is a painfully true and funny shirt.

Its for effect, but it most likely should be spelled right..just seemed a lot more amusing since its drawing the word out more. Although it should probably be spelled correctly

Boots' design is cute, but no part of my breakfast includes wrapping my cat in bacon. What do you eat for breakfast?

I wouldn't wrap my cat in bacon either. That one that's always chasing the birds in backyard on the other hand....

The shirt ends with "that does not work", indicating that the making of breakfast was done incorrectly. At any rate, my intention wasn't to justify the on topicness of that design. I'm more interested in this one, and how it's on theme.

j5 wrote:Woot is being Veerrrrry lenient with this week's theme.
I see lots of designs that are far beyond 8-bit graphics and have little to do with "everyday mundane things"

Reminds me of art school:
"Do a design in pen and ink"
Everyone submits a pen and ink design except one dude who does a 3D shadowbox and gets an A for it.

This.

And not trying to single out this design. But many.
