ekhozindar wrote:I must say, the idea is phenomenal, the colors are not so much... The towel should def. be white don't you think?

It's green for balance reasons. There's too much white if the towel was white too. But being green, for me personally, it balanced out the heavy amount of green on the right. I preferred it this way.

I really don't want to see this shirt print. Not because it's a RamyB shirt but because the people that this shirt represents are the type of people I genuinely wish did not exist.

Get off your damn asses and take care of your house and body, people.

Ha! One of the few shirts that I laughed at during the short period of that this derby has been open. And yes, I'd imagine the animals are counting down the days 'till the prince arrives! Got my vote.

Re: Interlude

And this is why I like some of ramyb's work...this shirt, the sense of movement, the emotion and the sensation.

I understand the vagaries of the marketplace that drive the "cute", but this is the art that I look for.

LOL xazothia does have an art blog linked in her signature. Not that it's a huge deal if she didn't, it's not like people have to draw to comment on stuff.

On the other hand I really like that the dog is dynamic and the cat is not, it makes the cat seem even more smug. I also love the way the cat is cartooned in this. Those little FEET. =D

So yeah, different folks different tastes.

Nearly swallowed my own tongue trying to get this thing in the derby yesterday. I got a tip to email the print ready file and upload the comp and preview here. Whew!

Re: Put Your Abs Into It

When I view this image, I get a grey rectangle around the shirt's image area. Is that a part of the design or just an artifact of my browser's rendering?

Nekkochan wrote:Given that cats are traditionally the ones afraid of the vacuum cleaner, I'm confused as to why we now have two shirts (that I've seen) showing cats chasing dogs with the vacuum. I would think it would be the other way around. Where's the sneaky dog preparing to give the snotty cat a big surprise?

I have a dog and 3 cats at home. My dog is the calm, serene one. The cats are the one always troubling him. He doesn't run away though, he ususally walks off in a huff.

Re: Interlude

Ramy - in the short time I have been wooting I have decided that you are a marketing genius. In an alternate universe you could be the CEO of a marketing company - you know how to create something that people will buy. But... how is this shirt related to household chores? The other fall leaves design has a visible rake; the figure in your design seems to be holding something that might be a rake, but who rakes leaves at night? And finally, how did a design so far off the theme move so fast up the ranks? I used to think the implied accusations were just sour grapes, but now I have to wonder...

Never mind that I wasn't even talking about the quality of the art, even if it DID matter what mine looks like. I have said some pretty negative things towards ramy in the past, I figured this comment was fairly benign...

I guess if there ain't drama, someone's gonna try to start it :P

The people who I wish genuinely don't exist are those who judge others based on their own life philosophies.

As for the shirt, I find it hilarious. Chores are such a waste of life potential.
