I want to like this, and I understand why it was drawn this way, but I can't get over how very wrong the sky is.
Re: African traditions
Very clever! And wonderfully drawn as always.
Re: Hail to the King
Sorry, I had to submit this and didn't get to post a comment. 6 colors on asphalt. Had a lot of fun doing this character! Hope you all like it.
Re: Main Attraction
F'ing gorgeous. Love it.
Re: S is for Safari
Re: The Great Hunter
Great job, guys!
This is awesome...but it doesn't say "safari" to me. It says, "Hey, I am a bad mofo and will rip your throat out."
I so hope this one prints, if it does, it will be a sure purchase

I stand corrected...it is spot on.
That is just wicked! I hope it prints, I'd buy one for sure
Re: Sunset Safari
Kangaroos aren't really African.
Re: If you become a lion, I will go on safari...
So charming. I really like the people bunny.
walmazan wrote:Yes, I contrast it a little more, and change the detail image
Ah, LOL, that's why I wasn't quite sure. The contrast on my monitor is a little bit off.
Anyways, it is a great design. Your style always brings a smile to my face.
bluetuba wrote:OMGOMGOMGPONIESOMG Boots this is outrageously offensive to Americans! I'm calling the secret service and reporting your hateful treachery!!!
Lol! I thought maybe the naked lion would offend some people. His legs are crossed for a reason ;)
Re: Pavlov's Safari
Love this - coloring is so great.
Re: Sunset Serenade
As an astronomy teacher, I want to point out that the bright side of the moon always faces the sun.
Mavyn wrote:Ummm...hyenas are closer to cats than dogs, per phylogeny.
Still, like it!
This is why it's next to the lion, though point well taken!
Re: A Rough Ride
Great work as always Bootsboots!
Re: 80's Safari Party
Beautiful design, nice work! I definitely would buy this.
Re: The Collector
I feel like there should also be a stash of iPhones there.

Oh, but I like the design! I meant to say that, too
Good work, as always. Thanks for the killer tutorial on youtube, too. I had to watch it today for some pointers.
I'm jealous. That rendering of the sun is perfect. GMV!
tobefonseca wrote:Everybody gets ready for safaris, why shouldn't the animals? My lions went to a barber shop in the savanna (what?) yeah, and all of their looks are awesome! :D
Love it! GMV
This reminds me of an app I have on my iPod called Toca Boca Hair Salon. I think it's for kids but I will admit that I got quite a kick out of it. You can blow dry, comb, shave, dye, etc. the hair of different characters... one of which is a lion.
Re: Only In Kenya
Not seeing the parody in this. It looks like you took the imagery and joke from the original Weebl and Bob video and made your own shirt.
stingray69 wrote:Haha! I love it. (as long as it's not a Portal reference;)
Hahah I wasn't thinking about it when I did it! Thanks stingray69!
Re: hello lion
I love so much the style in this one!
Unbelievably gorgeous. Wow I can't wait to buy this shirt.
This is terrific!!
Re: The Jungle Dance
Cute. I don't like it as much as your other one, but this one certainly has merit.
I've gotta say Ramyb, when you do the artsy designs I can't help but shake my head in wonder. Amazing work on this one. You should do a tutorial ;)
What a supergroup of styles! It rocks!
Re: Sunset Serenade (V2)
Version 2: after getting a couple of comments about the moon, I've flipped it so the crescent is lit by the sun. Of course there's already artistic license in having them both visible in this arrangement. Does the difference matter, do you think?
(Original version -is here-)
As the heat of the day gives way to the cool night, oxpeckers serenade their favorite ride.
Here's a close-up detail:
This is six colors on a brown tee. Check out all the details in the BIG VERSION here.
Thanks for looking, please vote if you like this design!
Re: Saffron Tiger
Not entirely sure that you'd find a tiger on an african safari, but I really love the design. GMV!

Thanks! I love the 80's, bright colors, animal prints...sigh...
All the different animal prints are from animals found in a safari. Going for a hip vibe, just tried to think outside the typical box for safari stereotypes. Enjoy!
I love how you can get great texture from just a few lines. GMS as always.
