Ha ha ha, this is nice and having also done construction cranes for this derby I have to say the way you did yours is much more interesting. Might be too subtle in the thumbnail for people to see what you did. But this is neat.

Holy half-tones, Batman! While this looks very impressive on the screen, I wonder if Woot's printing capabilities can handle this one?

I really like this design although I get the feeling there is some reference I don't get. Also, why did you win the monkey prize? Or rather how does one win it?

I really like the iced animal crackers theme! but the gingerbread in the vehicle seems out of place and ruins it for me..

'Cute' without being twee or saccharine. While not to my personal taste, it's got a lot of character and I like the colour choices. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the derbies.

Each derby, they choose a certain obscure thing, and the first person to post a design with that thing in it gets a screaming monkey.

ccazabon wrote:Awesome design for a shirt. The only thing that bother's me is the spray paint can on the ground...I've never seen spray paint leak in that manner, and I wanted to see a touch of blue on the lions paw. No matter what I do, when I use spray paint I always end up with paint on the tip of my finger :P

Exactly.
Still a cool design, though.

Well done Josephus, though I do agree this might work better as a monotone design.

Nekkochan wrote:I'm perplexed. The only African animal I can think of that adopts that kind of upright posture of the 2nd animal behind the bug, is the meerkat, but I wasn't aware meerkats hunted anything but bugs, arachnids, and sometimes snakes. So I don't know why a meerkat would be licking its chops over another mammal, and I don't know what that mammal is - given the cartoony style I suppose it could be just about any member of the rodent family.

Then again, maybe the fact that the elephant is stalking a hunting male lion is meant to convince us that the actual behaviors of real animals aren't meant to be depicted... It is a very cute shirt, I love the expressions on the faces.

Well... considering the size relations are off and male lions don't generally do any hunting it's not meant to be 100% accurate. I did find a picture of a meerkat eating an elephant shrew while I was researching this so I do believe it happens.
