Re: Bring home the bacon

If there was a derby in which one of the rules was to be as off topic as possible would Ramyb win by a landslide or fail miserably because he doesn't know how to follow the rules?

Something to think about.

What is this 'rest of the day' of which you speak? You've never taken care of a real household, have you?

I think this fits perfectly... It's like that alarm clock that runs away when you try to hit snooze. It flies away when you try to take money out.

No, Edison invented the LIGHT BULB, and omarfeliciano invented a new social networking METHOD.

The light bulb was a totally new invention. Cans and string being used to communicate isn't. Also, a method isn't an invention, which is what this derby is asking for, a new invention.

The shirt is clever, and well executed, it's just not on theme.

Yeah I don't have a sketch pad, so drawing becomes an issue, and not having photoshop and resorting to paint.net also doesn't help lol...

If the shirt on the shirt were in fact a depiction of the shirt itself, should it not have a tiny image of the shirt on it? Itself with a tiny shirt image on i,. etc., etc?

Wonder how many iterations you could get on there..! :P

Re: TrashBot 9000

This rejection is the single most asinine thing I have yet to see happen on this site. This design is nowhere comparable to the rejected design that implied that wives were invented to be slaves to husbands. As an actual husband who routinely forgets to take out the trash, the thought that someone would be incapable of taking an age old self-effacing joke never crossed my mind. The judgement behind the decision to reject this while allowing designs that are terribly off topic to rack in the votes is poor at best. I am hugely disappointed.

I guess if you are trying to read into it, that makes sense. But just taking the shirt at face value there is nothing to indicate that at all. I am amazed this has not yet been rejected for being completely off topic. It wouldn't be that hard to re-sub it with some text to make it fit the theme.

Shame the first one was "offensive". This is the perfect example of what they want.
"In fact, here's the catch: give us a device that helps you in the most mundane, inconsequential areas of life that no person with the cognitive capacity to acquire money would consider wasting it on one."

A humanoid robutt that could clearly do many things, that is solely used for taking out garbage. That's good.

The best part to me about japanese-text shirts are when they DON'T quite make sense... a sortof reverse-Engrish (and some of the Engrish shirts you can get in Japan are HILARIOUS)

Plus the style of this art is perfect, it seriously could have come off a product packaging straight from Japan
