Ten years ago. Got a Kenmore Elite. Happy so far. Would definitely go with a stainless steel tub and, I think, double disposal in it.

We got a new dishwasher last year. I second the stainless steel, been very nice.

I meant on the inside, the outside of mine is black (and it is too shiny, shows little finger prints).


The stove was by far the oldest appliance when we moved in. Other than replacing the element, it's still working fine (and it's ugly too).

Stove is from 82. Looks awful. The child safety locks scratched it.
Then the knobs were cheap plastic and they broke. So now one is missing and the oven knob is broken and has to be lined up by hand to see the temperature

But the stove itself works just fine. Plus it has a loud, working, timer.
I love that timer!
It has two ovens. I use the top one and the bottom one has all the pots and pans in it.


Back in the 60's my mom got a dishwasher that could accept a panel the same as the cabinets . That was nice!

They still have those.

Neither do I. Seems really sterile to me. Once I got rid of the harvest gold, I swore I'd never have anything but white.

I just purchased a new dishwasher - white on the outside and stainless on the inside - a Bosch. Very quiet and does a good job. Middle of the line. Does not have all the bells and whistles because I never used the 10 odd programs and combos thereof on the 5 year old model that died (tall tub maytag).

KtC sorry about the bug. Hope it will run it's course soon. Seems inevitable that everybody has to have it.

No school so Daughter2 will sleep late. I have an appointment with the surgeon for my cataract at 9:30. I want to get it done before 12/31 because I've already met my deductible!
