F-i-l had a much better day. The meeting with the hospital rep was productive.They were caught in several lies. They admit nothing yet suddenly he doesn't have pneumonia nor has he ever had it. Physiotherapy is being done as required and he showed them all what he was made of. He may be there for another week before moving to a rehab or possibly here..

Yes...that would be best case, at least until he is done his antibiotic therapy. We would prefer pemenantly but he wouldn't stand for that.(We've been down that road before)

tables. friend taught me to play 3 card poker. had a good stroke of beginner's luck on Sunday morning and was up about $800. gave me money to play with the rest of the time and spend on whatever I wanted.

How long would the anibiotic therapy last for? And would m-i-l stay with you also? Where's she staying now?

Nice job!!! I play blackjack, but I've never gambled that much. The most I made was a couple hours at an electronic table with a free $50 from Orc's then employer that became $200 which I gave back to them to get high speed internet equipment.

we were there the day the President came to give a speech (Monday). The conference room he was using was right across from a block of rooms we were using. We had to go through a metal detector, have our bags searched, etc before we could go on the wing. they had portable dividers up so we couldn't see anyone though.

I'm not brave enough for blackjack in Vegas - while I get how to play 21, I'm not up on all of the splitting the cards, etc.

3 card poker will be enough for me. I played the slots too. we went to some cheaper casino's to gamble - $5 tables.

I would say 5 days would be too long to be there if you aren't there for a conference or something. Although I'd like to go back and see some shows too

High's in the mid-80's. A little warm in the afternoon but great. It cooled off and was in the 60's the day we left.

The seasonal displays in the lobby are amazing. and the room was really really nice. It was my first time in Vegas. I was amazed at how connected all of the casinos are.

My uncle was a blackjack player and he taught me to play (which was like learning chess from a local chess champion), but I never thought it was that hard. Splits and Double Down are really very basic concepts and make a lot of sense. Really a computer, even without knowledge or more than one or two previous hands could be wicked good at blackjack, it's more logic than gambling.

Sounds amazing! Orc and I keep wanting to go, but our child sitting fell through last time we planned the trip.

Really well. Two of the consultants who worked on the project (one who is now a friend), along with my former boss were in there. One chimed in when I asked him to, and didn't heckle me. Although he was nice enough to show me his underwear right before so I could picture him in it. He only heckled me a little.

I had lots of questions afterwards, so that was nice.

We were with the entire family, that is why he went at all.

I've never been a big gambler either. penny slots were about it. winning a little Saturday, and then a lot on Sunday helped me to ride out the ups and downs. it's always more fun if you are ahead!

Do you get a choice whether to present or not? And I assume, if you present, then the conference is free?

I was asked to present. Normally they waive 50% of the fee. Mine was 100% because we had an issue with getting some of our work done last year. So they said if I would sit on a customer panel, they'd waive the whole thing.

How's Maisy? We had a cocker spaniel who had seizures every once in a while for years. she was on medication for a while.

She would stay here with him of course.With the exception of the first couple of nights (which were spent in our house) she has been at her home.They are both very independant, although very welcome to live here they wish to be in their own home. The therapy would be for about 6 weeks.

Good morning all, I have some small backlogged projects to catch up on early this morning.

Good for you and Mrs. Ice. Orc and I have already informed our parents that they are always welcome in our home, and if they ever need to live with for whatever reason, we would be honored if they asked us. Hopefully, that day is a while off as we are "full up" right now, but we'd make room if we needed. We did have my mom live with us for 3 months after my surgery, and it was snug, but an all around good experience. Orc gets on well with my family and my family is very laid back, that makes it much easier.

Sorry I disappeared earlier, my internet is really cruddy, supposed to get an upgrade tomorrow/today Yay!!

Good morning everybody! Spent hours yesterday at the nursing home. Thought my Mom was gone a couple of time but she rallied. I came home to sleep. I'll go back after I take daughter to school. I'm still super impressed with the staff.
