Good evening everyone. Just does not feel like Christmas - feels like its been going on way too long this year. Well, the decorations did go up just after Halloween, I guess. I still need to put my prelit, artificial tree up. It is actually cute, believe it or not. But I do feel like a slug for not having a big deal tree.

The prelit tree is up but not decorated. Writing out Christmas cards tonight. Although still can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, I think I can see the tunnel from here! If these darn people would just stop sending me work.

Tomorrow going to a Christmas store in KY with a friend, then lunch, then coloring each other's hair.

Might be able to start the sugared pecans Wed.

I believe Castle's a repeat. Might be able to finish the cards.

It is 3 to 4 hours in the car, so we don't stay more than 3 or 4 hours. That makes things sort of rushed.
Plus my doggie sitter is a year older this year and has trouble getting into my house, since we have no rails on the steps.

Still might leave him home. It is a new layer of packing. Crate, food, the stuff Lynnie told me to buy if he makes any sort of mess.

Gotta make sure he has a bath and his nails nicely done.

Too late to book a bath, already tried. I can do that, it is the nails that are hard.

Sounds great. Just make sure you have a bath and your nails are done.

Going with a friend to The Christmas Tree Shops in KY tomorrow morning. Just checked and there's only one in TX, but it's in Dallas. Ever been there? We discovered it last year and it's pretty neat.

A bunch in NY, but I can't tell if they're anywhere near D'name.

I'm not adding decorations either. But I need a new bag to cover the tree in the basement, I need Christmas and birthday paper, I need one string of lights that burned out last year. They've got a lot of stuff besides decorations. And they're open year round, lots of stuff besides Christmas stuff.

Having been closely associated on a personal level with the hotel industry since high school (best friend's dad owned a few and then recently I became best friends with a GM's wife), I agree with GMan, it would be doing him a favor in the long run. You could also make a corporate/owner B.S. about having to interview at least 3 people for this position and let him be a potential, if he shows up cleaned up, then you could feel better about giving him a shot again, maybe with a 3 month re-evaluation.

Yeah, I did. It was fun. Got some stuff I needed and some junk. It's kind of a like a Big Lots. Although there was some metal wall art that I may have to go back for. I'll have one new wall! Also got to have lunch. Good thing the call didn't come a half hour later, we both would have had a head full of gunk.
