That sucks! I always check in at 1, but I had to go to bed early to work 1st shift today!

It wasn't my ideal Christmas but I've had worse and I know that there are many that aren't as fortunate as I.
My f-i-l was in good spirits today and that made us happy.

I actually cooked today. Roasted a chicken in my convection rotisserie oven - which crapped out on my and kept giving an error msg. finished it off in the oven and was still good. Roasted red potatoes and fresh green beans. And leftover baked goodies from yesterday. Mom and my neighbor were the only two here for dinner.

How is fil?

A little better everyday, not as fast as he and the family would like, but slow improvement. He still can't get up without 2 aides doing most of the work nor can he walk yet. The PTs are satisfied with his progress.

Went to Moody Gardens to the Aquarium exhibit today. Saw lot's of cool fishies, sharks, the seals and PENGUINS (which I love)

It's a holiday carry over from it's colonial days.There is still a majority of 1rst,2nd and 3rd generarion Brits there.

My parents immigrated from Scotland in '52 as did most of the people they knew.
It was Canada, New Zealand, Australia or Rhodesia. My dad had a job offer in Rhodesia if he wanted it but it was unpaid for the first year so chose the cold place. My mom's family all moved from Scotland to Australia in the early 70's.
