It's a Doctor Who reference, anyone who would want this shirt probably recognizes it. The doctor travels through time and space in his TARDIS, which appears as a blue police box, that's why there is a constable in there answering the phone. He went to the wrong police box thinking it was his TARDIS.

Yes. Constantly, without concern of poor Link wanting to look at or do something else, she would shout out "Hey!", "Look Here", "Link"

Re: It's not what it looks like

I assumed what made this awkward was that the hotdog didn't commit the murder, but has the "blood" all over him for some other reason...

Personally, I'm kind of a fan of genericsmith's take on it too. Xp

GMV although I'm curious how the background would look on the shirt (I wish it faded out a bit more gradually).

Because one is a gold medal, and the other is a silver medal for first and second place respectively.

I usually like ramyb designs, and although this one is cute, I was extremely deterred by the fact that when I first saw it, I immediately thought of his argyle hipster turtle.

Way too similar for my tastes.

infinity13 wrote:It must really suck to hate an artist so much and yet have him consistently win, be in the fog or frolic just on the edge of it. How about you shut it, make a better design and push Ram out? Good god, every week I look at the field in these derbies and guess what; Ram's designs are clean, humorous if not over played, and what we expect from him. I don't know if there is a more beat on designer on this site.

I don't see it as hate of ramyb (in most cases), but more as artist frustration. Every week there are many designs exhibiting far more skilled draftsmanship, far better color sense, far more thought, wit, and heart, and even, at times, more cuteness (ex. walmazan, of whom I'm an unabashed fan). Perhaps ramyb's designs simply meet a happy, comfortable median between those variables, but just because his designs are more popular, that does not make them "better" than true excellence in the derby. That would be like saying McDonald's makes better food than a 5-star restaurant, or that Ke$ha is a better singer than... well, anybody, I guess. I can't speak for all the other voters/artists on this site, but my point is that ramyb should continue to design and submit whatever he likes, and I hope he continues to do so. I just wish that we as a community strove to ingest more filet mignons than Big Macs.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it!

Trying my hand at a bit of cuteness; a variation on the bull in the china shop. I'm quite pleased with the Highland bull - he looks like he'd rather be out somewhere knocking back a troughful of whisky than attempting dainty chat with that cow with the flirtatious eyes. The top-heavy inverted triangle composition and the contrasts between the big and small should convey awkwardness. And there's some experimental half-toning in there - which is an awkwardness for me!

Re: tweet tweet TWOOT

Very nice use of color. I think the elements of the design are a little too large for the shirt. The branches could be smaller, and perhaps more intricate as they reach across the shirt. You could add leaves to the design, while still staying true to the graphical style. Also, I only see two colors being used. You could make the musical notes WHITE to draw attention to the main focus of the design.

But still, a very good concept.
