Hmm...that's a tough call. I did laugh when I saw it, but I might be a little too text heavy. I figure why not give it a shot?

I do have a suggestion design-wise though... Some of the text (the C of cumin, E of cayenne and the A of paprika) just baaaarely touches the edge - you might want to scoot it just a touch one way or another. I understand you want the wrapping effect while still having it be understood, but they're getting all tangent-y.

It's a touching and iconic scene, I'd recommend watching it ...also I misquoted...it's Travels not journeys :o

I like it, but I think it will get rejected, because it is a primarily text based design. Try adding something else graphical

"Apple Pie without the cheese is like a hug without the squeeze"
a simple design of a slice of pie with a slice of sharp white cheddar on top and a couple apples next to it surrounded by the saying...however again I dont think I could do this justice without any halftones...so if anyone would be willing to help me it would be wonderful!

I think you might be able to use a 3-color approach (mostly yellow, black outlines, white on the shiny parts of the butter), and do it without halftones.

Go with green. I would consider the placement of the two reflection circles of the jar next to the mouse. For a second there it looked like the mouse was underwater and those were bubbles coming out from his nose.

It was intended as that sort of slam. I'm a man and I can cook just fine. But I will say that an increasingly large segment of the adult population has an amazing kitchen and no ability to cook. At least it seems to be the case here in Jersey.

On a side- I have an idea, but won't enter until late tonight. Work is a bear.

Ok, so didn't get any feedback back on this one. Is the word 'teatime' too exclusive? I was also thinking:
"Good Morning!"
"Wake up!"
"Hello!"
"Bonjour!"

Any thoughts?

I think saying teatime is perfectly fine, but if you want to use bonjour, I wouldn't be mad at you. Use the lighter text though.

Btw I love your style!

And also about your mouse one (it's yours, right?) I prefer the green shirt, and I think perhaps you should fill in the shine on the jar?

The mouse one is also mine - I tried filling in the shine on the jar but it looked a little off I think - but thanks for the suggestion, and so glad you like my style!:D

I also added a yellow teakettle - do you prefer the blue or yellow?

Love it with the details!
One comment - I'm guessing the sausages at the bottom are helping for balance, but they look a little strange. You may want to remove them, or maybe add some detail or something... the whole design is great, but something looks a little off/unmatching in that corner. Or maybe instead of them, you could prop up the toast with a little muffin?
