Thanks. I just don't know what I'm doing yet!
Re: Swedish Chef
I agree with the other comments of a little too much black line inking (I've noticed that in your other drawings too), but I think this is a nice piece none the less. Just let the colors suggest details with shadows and highlights, you pencil sketches are very nice too +1
Re: cthulhu sauce
I really like the idea behind this one, plus it's riffing off my favorite hot sauce so bonus. I think it would have been a little nicer if the label had been scaled down just a bit and maybe a little more detail and or a more watercolored style on Mr C. Great job though. +1
Re: It's Cookin' Time!
As always great coloring and line work. I gotta be honest and like some others I don't see much of a connection to this particular derby theme, but hey, I guess Woot does Keep it up man!
Re: Ranch Dressing
Need's some work on the layout and font work but I find this quite funny +1
dear god this better make it to top 3
amreli wrote:Heh, Star Trek TNG is the show I remember my entire family watching together when I was younger (like, last part of elementary school and middle school for me). Yes, an entire FAMILY of geeks.
TNG is my favorite show of all time. I remember watching it as a kid, and being the eldest, forcing my younger sisters to watch it with me. I had just turned 12 when "All Good Things..." aired; it just amazes me to think back and realize just how young I was when I was watching and crushing on Data. Was I really such a huge nerd?!
Re: Family breakfast
Thanks everyone for the comments, suggestions and votes! Glad the extra work on this design paid off- I know no design will ever be perfect, but I did my best to make the design work given the constraints of the derby. I actually debated for a long time about whether to write world's greatest dad or galaxy's greatest dad, but decided to go with world since it is an easily recognizable type of apron that a regular father could wear- I was trying to go for as ordinary a family scene as possible here I'm glad so many people have enjoyed this design, it was a blast to make it.

Glad to hear you like my style - thanks so much omar
vorteks wrote:Unfortunately the mouse didn't think to bring a ladder for the *inside* of the jar. This may well be his last cookie....
And he's quite a bit heavier too... no chance of leaping out I think. Poor mouse!
missmelis wrote:Technically he didn't take them... they're still *in* the cookie jar, it's just that now they're in his belly too! ;) So cute, jasneko!
hehe, very true! Thanks missmelis!
Re: Galaxy Soup
sorry to see this one drop out of the fog; I really like it.
Re: This was a triumph
I sooooo want this shirt to win... I would instantly buy it not only for myself but for my boyfriend since is a huge Portal fan..
Re: Isn't it delicious
there obviously needs to be a cupcake derby
Re: Cute Has A Flavor
I really really love the pun/reference here! I remember watching looney toons when I was little. =)
I don't always buy the shirts I vote for, but when I do it'll be this one that takes $10 off my hands.
very joyful + tuneful; would definitely whistle a skip into my step.
Re: Makin' Bread
scores w/ the cutes
This is excellent. Very clever concept and executed perfectly. Well done sir, well done.
Re: Dangerous Discovery RE-SUB
I feel like a deeper level to the joke is that the pigs are referencing the delicious taste of bacon. A bit disturbing. but awesome.

So it goes ! I'm just happy it was well received. Always good to know I've made something worth putting in my portfolio... when I uhh... get around to making it...
1ring1 wrote:You should be on deals.Woot! more, Valve gave out Portal (the first game) a couple times for free. There is no reason for someone to miss out on such an unprecedented game.
I got Portal 1 for free from Steam, then immediately borrowed a friend's copy of Portal 2. And then went as Chell (the main character) for Halloween. I would love some companion cube cake! Definitely +1 for this design.
Re: Sunny Side Up
This is great, he's so cheery in there!
this looks real awesome. I hope the little fishes on the towel come out on the shirt.
As a cat lover this shirt is perfect. My cat always kneads on stuff, including me when I'm trying to fall asleep, lol.
this is so cute! so perfect. i love it. looks just like my plump kitty.
Very cute! I would wear it!
How did this shirt fall out of the fog?!? It's easily the best in the derby. Ridiculous.
Re: Hell's Kitchen: Cartoon Edition
I just wanted to say that, while I understand why your shirt was rejected, it is an awesome shirt. If those are your drawings, and I assume they are since that's what you said, you did a fabulous job with this.
I love this shirt.
And it makes me giggle.
As does this: Necronomicon
Re: know your knives
I want to buy this NOW! It would be a PERFECT Christmas present for my husband who is a chef. I need someone to produce this shirt ASAP!!!
This needs to win so get out there and vote!
Re: Pineapple Grenades
this is so goo!
Re: Fish Sticks and Custard
fish fingers, maybe in a bowl of custard with the fez and less less text
pretty cool though
Re: Lets Bake! (resub)
I hate how I see something wrong after I upload it. Anyway, I fixed the shading on the bread.
i foresee a "no zelda references" rule in the future
buzatron wrote:if you overthink this and don't vote, your insaaaaaane! this has SO GMV! outstanding artwork and a well thought-out execution!
Even though it promises your pizza in 24 hours or less? How is a crime fighting turtle supposed to plan around that?
Even a blind squirrel is right twice a day.
Re: Goriya's Kitchen
Soooo Very Classic. I hope it gets made. I'll definitely buy 2 if it does, maybe more.
Re: Build-A-Wife Workshop
hahaha! amazing! +1

thanks! I agree with you that more detail on Cthulhu would have been good, I finished this one pretty late and it felt done to me at the time. I like the large size on this but I can see that it could turn some people off. Thanks for the help!
