Re: the box jellyfish
Hey, it's the jellyfish from LMFAO!
I Deep Down Under on the back?
kajira wrote:It gave me a smile, then I saw the votes. I'd want one. I'm voting for it. It's a perfect shirt for me to wear. Now you figure that out!
Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
Re: North for the Winter
Well gosh darn it. This is cute as ducklings. Or playtpups!
timbudtwo wrote:Only one octopus. And octopi is an incorrect pluralization. Octo = greek, pi = latin. -podes (greek) or -es (english) suffixes are technically correct. However, everyone knows what you mean.
Also, I love the shape of the jelly fish. Now i REALLY want to buy one just so I can see if other people notice. Or it will just be my little secret.
Oh, call them octopuritan and try not to think about Ian Fleming. Or octopuddies, as in I Tot I Taw A.

Falling over laughing here. The Woot Puritanbots are better than usual!
Spiritgreen wrote:Thanks everyone!
I was thinking this was another example of Spiritgreen's slow descent into madness, but if you guys like it then I must be okay.
I think you're way past okay, in one direction or the other. If this prints I can send one to my Scotaholic friends; they have sheep who could use some styling.
Re: Aww They're So Cute!
Best. Shirt. Ever.
Sadly, I agree about the yellow hatred...but I love it in yellow SO MUCH MORE! It doesn't feel as...outback-y in green. I'd still buy it, but I have so many green shirts already!
....I'd suggest brown, but your head would explode. So green is fine. ^^; Love your art...my eat-eating bunny shirt is my favorite!

Re: Afrilled of a little rain?
I will be heartbroken if this does not get on a shirt. Amazing work. Absolutely beautiful...if Woot doesn't take it and you print it somewhere else, I'd love to know! Would totally buy it in a heartbeat.
Re: Flight of the Sugar Gliders
This is such a wearable design, pity it isn't higher up, better luck next time I hope!
Re: Australian Army Knife
I have a 16 year old and he knows who Crocadile Dundee is. He loves this design. I hope it wins!
mrwednesday wrote:It pleases me greatly that people know about traumatic insemination!
I learned it from Isabella Rosselini.
Re: CAUTION: REVERSE FLOW
Bart vs. Australia, one of my favorite Simpsons episodes. Now only the shirt worked in the contraption hooked up to the toilet to overcome the Coriolis effect.
Re: Blue Ringed Death revised
I like the guy on the eraser, but the hand-like one coming out of the pocket is too creepy for me.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! SOOOoooo close!
Re: Blue Tongue
This makes a lot of sense to me
har har is right
The Tim wrote:I beg to differ. RISK: Factions by EA, available on PC, Xbox Live, and PSN.
Pretty sure he said notable.
Re: Marsupial in my pocket
Re: Drop Bears
not a fan of manga-looking eyes, but the sadism of the t-shirt is enough for me to buy it, too much furriness and cuteness already present in my wardrobe
How do i vote for this?
Yeah, I'd really like to vote for this! this is an AUSTRALIAN army knife- screw swiss army! I love it, how it's just got a huge knife and a bottle opener! LOL. I'd buy this in a heartbeat for my mate (lol) from austrailia.
This is really cute!!
Re: to the sun
This is the only shirt I voted for that made it to the fog... I hope it prints!!
One More Gimlet. I can't wait for this to be printed ahhhhh!!!
If you were going to go with this hackneyed quote, wouldn't midget Food Network have been more appropriate?
Re: Australian Yin and Yang
I just don't think it's possible to put animals in a yin/yang pose without it looking like they're doing something dirty.
Sucks big time this didn't print.
rizaroni wrote:but hey, he finally spelled Kookaburra correctly!

Man I would love to have one of these shirts. Looks great
Re: The outback
I do hope you like the feedback on this thread, I agree it is very good and shows what you can do when not doing the cutesy stuff.
Maybe we can hope you target an "arty" one to go with your "cutesy" one each derby?
Dude, this is such an awesome shirt. I wish it had won.
Very nice. Much prefer this over the 'cute animals' work that looks just like the T-shirts at Walmart and other mass market retailers! Like your Red Riding Hood, this is a different type of work than we usually see from you, and in my opinion, MUCH better!
My sister would love this for christmas!
I'm quite disappointed this didn't print. Cute koalas are great, but this shirt would have been amazing.
yankeebird wrote:Good question. The shirt's title is obviously pop culture. However, if you look at the shirt itself, there's nothing there that relates to McDonald's. Is the title enough to get it rejected?
It skates close enough to that fine line (as does the "Australian Army Knife"), but without the text, it really isn't a pop culture reference. In fact, it's nothing more than another cutesy koala.
I had *really* hoped for more of the artistic shirts to win.
