Shirt.Woot

For those wondering what shirts we can expect ... last time, we had shirts up to #213, though most were from #207-212. So this time, I would expect most of us will received reckoned shirts from #213 to #218, with a handful of older ones thrown in for good measure.

Are the coupon codes tied to your account? The code doesn't work when I copied it over.

Yes they are. All coupon codes are account specific, so it's not like any random wooter can use them.

So not to be dumb, but why should we "buy 3"? With shipping included, it's not like there's a discount... What am I missing?

Was tempted to buy just one because of the price (sign of the beast... shirt?) but I decided to pick up three... After all, this is my first random shirt purchase!

If'n you buy 3, you might get a coupon for a future purchase as the kids have seen in the past.

With three, you maximize your chances of getting something you like. And if not, you maximize your chances of trading with someone else for something you'll like.

Also, it's a fast way to increase your shirt count. ^_^

Bought three. Stupidly or not. I mean I buy a Big ol' Cornucopia whenever it comes up. And I don't know whats in that either...Right?

Ahh, $6.66. The evil price. Fortunately, I sprayed some holy coupon water on the deal, and it was reduced to $1.66, which is a much less evil number.

Plus, buying three gets you 3x the fun when you open it. It's like a booster pack of shirts.

Although I really shouldn't, as I always get the shirts I like when they come out the first time...

There are some pretty awful designs that get printed and only sell like 4 shirts, and if random shirts are just the ones that didn't sell then they didn't sell for a reason

In again for the Woot trifecta. Got a few not so great shirts last time but thank goodness for the coupons.

They are also the popular ones that end up not selling enough either. Just a month ago, a shirt that averages less than 20/sales day gets the chopping block.

But it wasn't a $5 coupon, like I thought, it was a free shipping coupon, so it worked just fine... except shipping was already free.

3 new ones for me too! Woot, you got me again!! Well, at least I used my coupon from the last random t-shirt sale haha.

Get three. It's pretty easy to drop off the shirts you don't want at Goodwill or Salvation Army or one of the other thrift-store places. Even after you've worn them once or twice and been told repeatedly to leave the room because your shirt is dragging down the group IQ. (In which case, please wash them first!)

It's just as easy to post in the trade thread too, because you never know.

What many folks don't realize is that many times, shirts that don't sell at thrift stores end up in rag houses, which as the name implies, means that they get cut up and turned into rags. Some of the thrift stores I go to do the rag bag thing themselves first, and I have bought some of them from time to time myself because it ends up almost as cheap as paper towels; I would say that over a third of the shirts I got are new or like new.

There were shirts that other folks didn't care for that I was more than happy to accept ... and vice versa. Try that route first, please.

Always buy one. . . .

Any one else miss the days when they actually told you what shirts would be available? I don't want to get stuck with another Halloween shirt I can only wear once a year (like I did last time I went for a random.)
