I'll save you from some worrying; it is definitely outside the printable area. Sorry.
I recommend resubmitting now, rather than waiting.

mrwednesday wrote:I do specialize in genetics, specifically quantitative genetics, and there are absolutely no mathematical concepts that this evokes. You can't have Hardy Weinberg without a population. I see none. There are no mathematical constants associated with DNA stability or binding energy between strands because it depends entirely on the amino acid residues in a given strand. This is like drawing any random object, say a cute bunny, on the ground and saying it represents gravity.

Ah, good. I wanted to be cautious just in case you guys were doing things with fractals while I played with fish hormones.

And I agree entirely.

Great work. Text does not bother me at all. What looks like stars in front of (or through) the moon is what gets me. Still a quality piece of work and... +1.

I don't see why this isn't a take on a golden ratio...

^^^Directly above this post.

Because it isn't the Golden Ratio. The nautilus design is. Im going to draw a bunch of rabbits and superimpose the golden ratio patterned out over them. That would be as arbitrary as this design is.

Re: Everything is Gold

Hey- Thanks everyone for the votes and comments!
I was going to add rabbits, but I just ran out of time. But lets not split hares.

Whatever its worth, my idea revolved around the ubiquity of the golden ratio in nature, thus the panorama. I thought about incorporating other superimposed elements, such as the nautilus shell and a fern but it looked cluttered to me.

I can understand if it seems arbitrary, though.

Re: Realizing Gravity (Hitchhiker's Guide to Falling)

I really like the reference and the execution (moon/star issue aside), but wasn't the whale all intrigued and excited right up until the end? I would totally vote for an unsuspecting whale filled with the joy of discovery...

Or without the words this could be a different whale who unfortunately knows what's coming.

Beware of artists trying to correct your math.... Your equation is fine, units check.

But, FWIW, you'd still suck at this game because your equation--while fine--is written in terms of V, and not in terms of mm stretched (or how far back you pull the sling to generate a given velocity for a given sized projectile). Work on that and you have something, my friend....

Anyway, great shirt. GMV.

I don't know...but I think I'd actually like this a lot more if it was just the flying squirrel part...I know you are going for comedy, but there is something beautiful abuot how an actual squirrel can defy gravity... I'd buy if it was just the flying squirrel/math part...

just my oppinion. I love your work though! You always come out with great designs!
