Great Job! Placed two derbies in a row, and a 1st place this time!

I didn't think I could ever associate math and beauty, but this is GORGEOUS!

An appropriate color and design for all the night-owls staying up for Black Friday.

A black tee for Black Friday? What a deal.

I really liked how this one looked in the derby, very subtle and with a mysterious feeling to it. Good job on the print.

Really cool at first glance. But from far away it unfortunately looks a bit like a fetus. Is that just me?

Yes, it's just you.

Wow, I was confused at first till I saw the larger image. Blown away so gorgeous.

I've always been a fan of Fibonacci spirals.

Calm, yet poised to spring + reveal truths; nice

Like Poe? Of course you do, you're here ; ) Try my new mystery novel:

Just as I'd hoped - a black shirt on Black Friday!

Great job Rads!

A few weeks ago I saw a lunar halo and it was beautiful! This reminds me of it.

I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason, this design is strangely appealing.

Even a blind squirrel is right twice a day.

"They way the length of the sides of each square..."

Hmm, a tryptophan-induced typo perhaps?

Yes, I believe Radscoolian IS a very intelligent designer, Mr./Ms. Writeup Writer, considering the two amazing geeky-math designs I saw this week. (both of them fogged!)

The golden ratio is arguably the most appealing thing in nature.

Hey! Thanks, everyone! I am very thankful for Woot and the Woot community! Happy post-turkey day!

Finally... a shirt that isn't some overly cute animal or a mediocre joke...

I like shirts that are wearable art.

I'm really confused, is this a picture of some alien chick with large perky chest bits?

spilzer

This totally reminds me of one of my favorite cartoons from childhood: Donald in Mathmagic Land (yes I was a total geek, even back then). Especially the part about the golden ratio.

I assumed at first glance it was using repeated golden ratios, to make a golden spiral for this picture but that would have been, er... irrational of me. (extra maths here)

Oh but wait, a Fibonacci spiral approximmates a golden spiral! (see box one scroll down on the RHS), so they are very hard to tell apart.

So, which is it? The title suggests a golden ratio which, as we know, is apparently the epitome of beauty. The Fibonacci spiral as a mere approximation wurely doesn't quite have those magical properties...

There should be a new math theorem such that

math = beauty

Congrats on the print Rad. Excellent concept and I love the way the line work from the fibonacci spiral leads your eye to the moon.

Now I'm going to be looking for that type of patter in real life.

Yes, this had to print! I very much like how this deals with the golden ratio in nature in a metaphorical way rather than picking out literal examples. Very creative image.

Congratulations on a super wearable shirt, R.

Fibonacci spiral is a nice start. But if you look very closely, each tree branch is a fractal.

Am I the only one that immediately thought of the Nightmare Before Christmas when I saw this (I guess that would be fitting for Black Friday, as well). I'm picturing Jack walking over this landscape singing a song...

Haven't been wooting all that much lately. Holy guacamole.

Wow.. for some who averaged a C minus in math throughout high schoool, this can be a bit confusing. I just spent an hour educating myself on Fibonacci and other related mathmatics linked to this shirt. Yeah, I want one now. It was a cool shirt before, but now it's even better..

I can't wait to receive this shirt in the mail I may not be a math major, but I've always loved the relation of math to nature and art. Great Job on the design!

Half of this shirt would probably be lost on me since I am not mathbrained, but I appreciate the pretty arty other half. :D
