Re: Sacrifice
This is very nicely done...you did a great job with the contrast between warm and cold and I love the sketchiness.
Re: Solstice
So beautiful, just amazing. I like the work progression series, too!
from the title and the thumb I was expecting to see them stopping behind a snow mound to take a break...
Re: Unstealthiest Ninja II
I love this sooo much!!
Re: Chillin
So pretty and shiny!
Re: Crystal Snow
I hope everyone opens the thumbnail to see the full pattern and colors of this wonderful wintry, snowflake design.
Re: Hang Tight
Awww, poor icicles!
Nice to see a sequel to a great shirt! Great job. It's pretty exciting to see how fast this is rocketing fogward. I almost feel like congratulating you now.
Re: Mr. Snowmans turn
Hello! My 2nd time submitting for woots's derby. - Its mr. snowmans turn to have some fun.
Welcome back and instant buy. GMV. Probably one of my favs from you guys that I've seen done. I'm thinking print but if people are dumb and don't vote... let us know if you print it elsewhere... you'd get money from me!

Thanks guys! It's been awhile since I've approached the fog I think, but he's got a way to go still and there's lots of cool shirts this round, like usual.

Thanks! Yeah, since woot started converting everything to jpg, it's been harder to get my thumbnails looking right. Doesn't help that I've barely had time to do any entries in months.
Re: Spring in Winter
Lovely design for how relatively simple it is, though I just love well-done simple designs. Excellent choice for shade of green, as well, conveys "spring" perfectly.
Re: Snowflakes at night V2
that. is. awesome.
Re: White Nights (resub)
I like this MUCH better!
I love it!
This is awesome! I agree, best sequel this year =)
Re: Look Up
Nice take on the tree-silhouette concept. I really like the way you did the snow-tipped branches.
Re: Snowcats
I love the cold, slightly offended look of the one cat, perfect attitude depiction.
Re: Snow Kitty Collage
I keep coming back to this, you did such a wonderful job with the cut-out paper effect. I also like that making collages is more of a winter activity, since it usually involves staying in a nice, warm house.
What I like most of the derbies is reading the comments. Thanks guys.
Absolutely fantastic, i own the original and can't wait to hopefully get this one
Beautiful! GMV

#199 was the last time ... I better see some plugging on the upcoming page 300 of Bear Nuts too. I can't be the only one to prop it up via the comments, y'know!
Re: Home
Love the use of negative space, but unless it's the compression/rescaling of the image, I feel there's too much reliance on the patterns/halftones.
Agreed - the thumbnail isn't doing this design the justice it deserves. VOTE, people, VOTE!
At first, you see the snowflake. Then, you notice the trees, adding to the depth. LOVE it, GMV!
Re: A sheep in tree clothing
Where have I seen this before?
happy to see this in the fog.
Re: Huddle in a flurry
splendid
Own the original, would love the sequel!
Re: Ski Mountain
neat
venikins wrote:Awesome idea! :D I feel like something is missing from it though... Maybe a different color scheme? Still nifty none the less n_n
Agree. The coloring her is killing this design. A quick fix could be to alter the background to something lighter (like silver?), but the details in the snow fairies is also hard to see as is. just some thoughts.

Thanks for the comments. They are really helpful.
The way you did the tears led me straight to this: Is that a common stylization of cartoon tears?
Reminds me of the symbol for the White Tree of Gondor from The Lord of the Rings

Haha, I guess so... I thought it looked better then actual tear drops and a lot more exaggerated.
Re: Warm and Cozy
Feel free to leave any comments, as long as they are not about this design's originality or shirt color. Thanks! - meepee ^_^ (Full version is here.)
Yes! "Lapwing Sunset" with a nice, wintry feel to it. GMV
Fabulous. GMV.
