That is the first monkey. You could buy him anywhere. Black vinyl cape and mask.
Don't think I ever saw that shirt. Cool shirt.

The first weird entry prize was actually the Ab-thingy by Suzanne Somers. It was pretty far along that mnementh was awarded the crate of pucks. It was a kind of Hall of Fame award for weird entries.

The Epiphany, the oldest of the Christmas feasts, is also known as Three Kings Day for the three magi who found the Christ Child after following a star to Bethlehem. It is celebrated on Jan. 6 and is the major holiday of the Christmas period in the Eastern Church.

The Baptism of Our Lord brings the Christmas season to a close. It is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Epiphany.

Sorry to read about son's gf. Prayers sent to her and your son.

Poof, sounds like a great day. Enjoy!

Good, happy day everyone. Dname - easy relatively speaking at son's age to move on. He does not know this yet, and I hope his heartbreak is quick to heal and that he finds a new love soon.

The above was written before I read back and see she is in hospital - but did not see a post explaining it if there was one.

something sure did go to his (Gatzby's) head - is it color or a wig? I have seen so many young people around here with bright and I do mean flashing bright red hair. Don't know - not hip enough - why this trend is or where it began.

I think his is blue.
Haven't seen a picture from this week, so I can't be sure.

I don't mind that trend. The one that bothers me is the girls skirts being so very short. As in just covering the butt. Shorter than a cheerleader skirt, which would have matching panties.

How do they sit? Climb stairs? Ride an escalator?

You know that if your normal underwear shows, so you need smaller ones, THE SKIRT IS TOO DAMM SHORT!

Although the rent is lower if the skirt is short. Most likely not. Too many short skirts out there.

pia the church.

Jesus was baptized by his cousin John as an adult.
He died a observant Jew.
So were did this baptism stuff come from?
Just another few days to light the christmas stuff.
Maybe the church got together with the electric company???
Kickback?
Free power?

Did you see that a guy born in St Louis is going to be a cardinal?

The Archbishop of NYC.

It has already been mentioned that he is the right age to be considered for Pope!

A Pope from St Louis!
Maybe he could convince Amazon to stop charging tax on woot?

Interesting because Cardinal Dolan, appears to be a very down to earth, nice guy.

When he found out, he called his mom. She said It's about time.

Yes, corn holders!

D'name, sorry I didn't know you had sent that PM prior to me asking. I wish Woot would have something that let us know when a new PM was waiting. Blinking light, different color or maybe Gatzby waving a flag, anything would be good since it's hard to remember how many PM's you already had. Anyways, have to make some tea, eat, and then I'll answer it.

Oh and I think the baptism that is being celebrated and remembered on Sunday is when it was with John years later. Not that it actually took place right after Little Christmas, it's just a remembrance they do in reference to that day. I'm not well versed in it, but that's what it seems to be after reading about it last night. Of course depending on what calendar is being used the dates change.

Ask D'name, it'll all come out in the book.

Am I still married? Once a politician, always one, even after leaving office.

Is there a fireman in the same room as I am in right now?

What exactly does go on in SP?

Why is so much traveling happening of late?

Doesn't really matter. I'm sure you have more important things to think about like figuring out how to make yourself less cranky. Me, I opted to have some yummy dessert to pep me up today. Didn't work fully, but it's a start. Night!

don't think so. I was raised a bronco fan elsewhere until high school. I was never as attached to the Oilers. Stayed a Bronco fan until Elway left pretty much. Now Houston is #1 team, Denver is #2 for me

Edit: Verified - Oilers did have some playoff wins, but never made it to the Superbowl.
