Relaxation day was good, although Orc claims I spent more than he had thought I was going to. Oh well, no more shopping for a while is fine with me. I actually dislike shopping. Had to drive home in a winter storm, but didn't even slide, guess that's what happens when you aren't in a hurry. Saw too many off the road flipped or nose planted into embankments.

Kiddie bday party in a bit (girl party that is pirate themed) should be lots of fun. I like the girl's mom, wish we had more overlapping schedules so we could be better friends, but they own the tattoo parlor/piecing studio where Orc and I got our tatts and that makes their hours a bit off.

Dinner done, hello all.

Got my oven half cleaned today. Did the manual work on the frame, hit the clean button. 45 minutes later the smoke alarm started, which didn't surprise me because the oven was way past due. But then husband says, "The door's not closed tight." It says it's locked. "I don't think it's closed tight." So I canceled it and waited a while and checked the door. Sure enough, locked. So now I'll redo it tomorrow. It always scares me with as hot as it gets. I keep the cabinets open above, below and beside it.

Wow, Poof, you are non-stop working! I did very little today except for cleaning up the horrid mess from the broken freezer. Wait, I did clean my desk last week - yep, saw the top of it for about 2 days as Dname said. I just cannot seem to keep anything looking freshly done - even myself!

Morning! Yay for days off. Got most of the taxes done, will finish them off this week one evening. Need to track down some more paperwork for me...yippee.

Where are the pictures?

Most of the tax stuff is in the folder for the tax dude. I am beginning to regret that I bought red. I should have chosen the black one. It has been a challenging year but I'm pretty sure that we ended up in the black!

I am missing Jan, Feb and Mar for hubby's business account. I bet it is with the 2010 tax stuff. If the bank is going to charge me for copies I'll go to storage and dig it out.

Elderly neighbor just came to the door. A few months ago husband helped trap a raccoon tunneling under his patio and relocated it. Now there seems to be an animal laying in his yard, but he doesn't know if it's dead or alive. "It's been there a couple of days." My best guess would be dead.

yay for lazy holidays. Ice, glad you had safe travels.

Stayed up last night to help Orc only to have him not get stuff he was working on finished before it was too late - huge pet peeve of mine, but I'm trying not to be mad, even though I caught him working on a different project one time he fell asleep at the computer. Took pain meds for a headache (some days my bifocals are great and others my eyes get so stinkin' tired) and it kept me up all night.

Tomorrow is going to hurt.

No holiday here. sitting at desk, trying to focus (and failing, obviously) on getting some useful work done.
