Fun! Love the expressions. Check to be sure your color codes are right. On my monitor, the comp background is totally different from the tee color shown, which I assume is Navy (111c24)?

Re: GOLDFISH

What a birght, refreshing change from all the dark shirts that get printed - especially gray. This just pops and makes me smile. And the placement is cool. Definitely +1.

Re: Underwater Galaxy

I won't lie, I was very disappointed when my design fell from the Fog yesterday, and on top of that, it dropped two more positions. But we have to admit that this week the competition is very tough. It's been a long time since I've seen so many awesome designs in the same derby. Even the penguins on the Fog make sense this time :0)

I may not be as talented as many of the top designers here at Woot, but I am very happy to have a design competing directly with theirs. Yes, maybe it won't get printed (for now), but hey, that's the voters choice. I've had a couple of close calls in previous derbies, and each time I participate a learn a lot. A big smile is drawn on my face every time I see a comment saying how much you like my design or saying you would buy it.

Thanks everyone for all the support, you guys rock!

Re: Electric Jellyfish

This is the first "[Rejected]" shirt I would buy. It's too bad that they don't print glow in the dark because this would surely be in the fog by now.

They're trying not to get eaten by the one that's hunting, so they're trying to look like an orca themselves. I don't think the shirt would have the same impact without the real orca in the background.

I absolutely agree. The orca in the background makes the shirt. Great concept!

Hi,

I'm also new here. This is my first entry, so I don't really know how the site works. I'm just hoping to get my design noticed. Thank you so much for the thoughtful comments. If you want the Tee, it's available in my online store at droidloot.com. Here's a quick link to the shirt: http://goo.gl/1guld

Thank you very much for the complement! I really kind of want the shirt to stand on its own without an obvious reference to the book. I'm trying to avoid the whole pop culture reference thing.

Hi and thank you. No, it's not a pop culture reference as the shirt design stands on it's own with no obvious link to the book other than the title. I was inspired by the book to create the image. Not trying to reference it.

Thanks again,

Hello.

When you submit a design to shirt.woot's derby, you are agreeing that shirt.woot has an exclusive hold on your design for a set time period.

This means that you are NOT allowed to submit your design or have it available for sale ANYWHERE ELSE during that time period. If your shirt is not a winner, then you may do what you like after the hold time period is over. If your design is awarded an Honorable Mention, then the hold is extended until the next Double-Take Derby unless you contact woot and request to be released from the hold.

What you are doing right now is very much against the rules of the contest you have entered.

It would behoove you to acquaint yourself with the rules of the site and the contest you are entering BEFORE you enter. The information is listed in the Terms and Conditions, which is right there on the submission page and you even have to click a box saying you've read and agree to the RULES of the contest you are entering.

The shirt.woot FAQ is a good place to start familiarizing yourself with the site, after the basic legal rules of the contest. It is found in the bottom right corner of every single shirt.woot page and right there, linked very obviously, top left column, on the entry submission page for the derby.

Good God that's funny - my favourite colour, too :-) I want one !

I would have added something to the shark; make the caudal and dorsal fins stumps and cover with bandages. This would explain the wheelchair. Perhaps add some subtle Asian features to Sharkey, as well.

Of course, I would not have cooked up this ingenious design...so nevermind.

I hope this gets printed.

Good example! I don't get it either. And I really like this one!

I really like the design. But I rarely wear/buy light colored tshirts. Maybe if the colors were inverted so the shirt was dark blue/dark dark purple to look like the sea with the design being in the lighter colors. I am an outdoorsy person and love the design. It is unique and eye catching.
