[quote postid="4838856" user="Radscoolian"]Hey! Thanks for all kind comments everyone! I'm pretty surprised this is still in the fog. I was feeling uninspired for this derby, and debated whether or not to submit this when I had finished it.

@wirdou:
I broke into you house and was rifling through your stuff when I found that drawing. Good stuff. Also- you're low on milk.

haven't seen this! Maybe if I had I wouldn't have had such a dry breakfast the day after! hahahaha

Nice collab. I love how literal the take on the theme is. +1

ruthjhodsoll wrote:Be prepared for it to be "rejected" as it's not on a t-shirt template... best to just redo and resubmit... and why is it so distorted?

Of course, if you're going to redo, in addition to needing a template you need to reduce the number of colors to six, remove text, and make it on topic. Or, you could just not bother.

Your Kenny isn't enough of parody for woot to run it. I know you've submitted him in various derbies, it might be time to learn to draw something else.

I like that its a little obscure. If I have to spell out to anyone what's going on here- they don't deserve to get it! Lol- either way, great design! GMV

kylemittskus wrote:Welcome to shirt.woot!

Haha, indeed. I know how commonplace using pop culture is to print here, trust me. That doesn't mean I'm not going to call it out when I see it .

fuzzypanda00 wrote:If you don't understand what's going on in this shirt, I don't think shirt.woot (or the internet for that matter) is right for you.

Trust me, I've been around shirt.woot and the internet itself for quite some time. I understand about 85-95% of the pop culture jokes that are here and scatted around the interwebs. Me not understanding one shirt does not mean that the internet isn't right for me.
I think that if you don't check someone's info first to figure out that they've been here a hell of a lot longer than you have, then maybe this website is not the right place for you :P.

*edit*: I would like to point out that, with the title, I actually -do- understand the shirt, but sans-title it makes no sense. When I browse the derby, I never look at the titles because I only want to vote on shirts I like that make sense without the title. After all, the title isn't going to be printed on the shirt, so if I don't get it sans-title, then it is likely people who see it when I wear it won't understand it either.

Re: Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places

Nice idea, but didn't like the design. I agree with crazydoglady, if you'd let the shirt color itself to be the backgroud, it would be much better!

chachachino wrote:you know that asimo is probably twice as tall as it should be judging by the scale of the valkyrie cockpit.

this is maybe too otaku for most wootsters. i gotta get some of these made. ... after 90 days of course.

Yes, Asimo (got the name wrong before) is definitely too large. But technically the Gundam is also too small.

In the end it probably doesn't matter, since the shirt is pretty awesome and I would buy it if I saw it around.

Thanks, yeah you're right. I actually had a hard time naming this shirt. I thought the concept seemed similar enough though.
