Thank you. It's mostly in the USA that the black cat=unlucky superstition exists. Black cats are actually considered lucky in many cultures. We have a whole house full of black (or mostly) cats: all rescues. The main reason we have so many is that we had trouble getting them adopted due to the superstition. They are all very sweet in their way and some of them have the most luxurious coats.

Ugh, it took me a while to convince myself to pay $12 for this. Then when I was checking out I was hit with sales tax. I can't justify $13.20 for a shirt that I'll probably wear once.

I used to grow a patch of four-8 leaf clovers in the side-yard of our old house. Was so sad when we had to move. This shirt bring back some of the happy peacefulness I had there. Def getting this one. ^-^

This is my very first green shirt purchase!! I really dislike the color green, but I LOVE this design (and shirt). And I will finally have something to wear on St. Patrick's Day that is a true green. I bought two (one for mom). Black cats rule!

Mate, I think you've taken this a bit too seriously. T-shirt designs on an Amazon.com commerce site isn't anything to imagine anyone would be upset enough to "cry" over.

It's a simple expression of opinion, and if a person expressing their opinion that the majority of one artists' fare is eye-rollingly repetitive (if not lucrative for the site), then let them be. Just jog on.

Man, we have a pair of black cats, and I'm part Irish, so I'd love this shirt... but it's WAY too "cutesy" for a 6'4" married man to wear.

This is sadly true, from what I understand. I have also heard that some people find it funny to adopt them around Halloween, then abandon them at the shelter shortly thereafter, but I am not sure how true that one is. Furthermore I have been told to keep an eye on black cats during that same season, as people sometimes steal or hurt them. Again, I think (or hope, at least) this is urban legend. One thing is certain -- black cats are harder to see at night, which is another reason to keep them close by, because being hit by a car is very unlucky.

I have an eleven year old black cat, but I've only owned her since June, when a colleague flippantly decided she was not willing to take care of her animals anymore and was going to take her to the pound. The 'kitty racism' is the exact reason I rescued her, as I knew it would be a death sentence for the poor thing. She is fat, sneezy (has several allergies), is declawed and has an overbite (aka vampire teeth), but she is the sweetest thing and cuddles me with fierce desperation. I'm glad I took her in.

FYI, there are such things as 'hypoallergenic cats' (ones that do not cause cat allergies.) I used to have a gorgeous white cat that I found in a shelter that turned out to be a Siberian -- a breed great for allergy sufferers who still want a cat. How not-allergy inducing was this cat? I had a roommate whose son had major cat allergies AND asthma, and he never had a single reaction to the cat. They also say female cats, and neutered males produce fewer allergens.

Also, hairless cats are incredibly sweet, and -- while they ARE hairless -- they are still unbelievably soft and wrinkly and fun to pet.

I'm a 5'11", sometimes-bearded man with long hair and I wear shirts like this. I've lost count of the compliments I get. Men, women, children - even old ladies at times. The man makes the clothes, friend! Stand up tall and rock this shirt.

Unfortunately this is all too true. I have seen what was left after some people's superstitious nights. You should not let your black cats out around here anytime within a week before or after Halloween. I won't let my kitty out either and he is only a tuxedo pattern.

I thought there was some saying like "black cats bring gold, white cats silver" in China or Japan. That's why I had black cats despite the whole "they're bad luck" thing. My cats were far from lucky. One fell out a window and the other got cancer. I miss those sweet boys.

Why DOES the cat look dead? Is this a some sort of ironic humor that ends with cats being allergic to clovers? The eye most definately look dead, not happy.

I've read all the comments and can not believe that only 2 people have asked "Is the cat dead" because I too think that the cat looks dead. Not sure I want to wear a shirt with a dead or dead looking cat on it. ......ack, but it's a perf. 3/17 shirt.
