I don't, but I'm thinking about it.

The primary reason we bought iphones was so that Orc could use the Hamilton captioning program. We both got one, for a number of reasons, other than that he could then use both phones.

Texting charges are stupid and have been since people stopped carrying strict pagers. With a smart phone we can send messages that go through the data plan. This is actually what we use the phones for the most. My sister and a few friends have also downloaded the "not-texting" texting program and we all use it more than calling.

I have a few apps to to track things, health stuff, my calendar, I have about three games I really like and play casual and a handful of other games that I sometimes play when I'm stuck with my phone waiting for something and don't have a book. I do have the Kindle app, but the screen is too small for it be comfortable for me.

Honestly, I don't use the phone as much as I thought I would. I do use it significantly more than my traditional cell phone (although I did play more audio on that and used it as an mp3 player before I got my Sansa).

I have an "average" phone. It does browse the "real" web, but with a small and clunky touchscreen.

So, other than the occasional google map or wikipedia search, I mostly just use it as a phone. For books and apps and stuff like that, we have a larger tablet instead.

I use my phone for texting, email, web surfing (like now, while waiting, or at a store to look up something, compare prices, etc), calendar, music at my desk and in the car, a few games, kindle reading, taking pictures when I don't want to carry a camera, an app to track food and exercise. At home, I will find a recipe online to hook from if I don't want to print it out.

I use it way more than I thought I would.
Oh, and it makes phone calls.

Orc does a ton of that stuff with his phone. He uses his WAY MORE than I use mine. I will skim my email to see if there is anything important. I have done the recipe thing, but more often I just put it on the laptop and run back and forth or have the 7 year old read it. I do use the camera for quick out and about shots and shopping, shopping apps are great especially if you are trying to decide what you want or working with someone else to get something. I do find that the Amazon app saves me a ton of money from buying at places like Walmart.

Oh yeah, I do that too, when I'm out of town. Mostly my husband does that, since he is the navigator.

GPS - great for getting directions.
REcipe apps - pull it up on my phone in the kitchen, rather than printing or taking laptop to kitchen

Yes, the screen is just infinitely smaller. I have even checked in at woot from my phone, but reading the forums is not fun for me on the small screen.
