Well the current ones aren't going to matter until #238 next week. That said, a popular design on the front usually leads to greater sales in the reckoning too.

My early guess is that 1971 will debut in the top-5 and today's shirt will probably do pretty well too.

Narfcake uses the actual days on sale as of midnight as the denominator to calculate the "instant DSR". Woot's rankings use the total number of days the shirt will be on sale for the evaluation period. It's a four-week rolling average, so that's 28 days for a shirt that's been around that long, fewer days for newer shirts.

Basically, take the denominator you've reversed-engineered, add enough days to get to noon on Monday, and that's the denominator for the Woot-based DSR.

Thank you x10. I'm glad I didn't spend any more time trying to reverse-engineer THAT one.

It actually took a long time to figure it out (a key piece of info was missing for a long time, if I recall), since Woot has never released their formula. It also only works with vigilant number-keeping, something that's impossible for any of us to get exactly right. Assume Narf's numbers will always be slightly off from the official numbers, but they're close enough to draw pretty accurate conclusions.

Maybe it says that firefrogh was wise in not mentioning the year overtly. I was born in '72, and if the reference had been more concrete I would have passed. But the reference speaks to me because when I got into computers these were ubiquitous (and still terribly expensive).

The only shirt that is certainly headed for the chopping block on Monday is 27th place. 26th is unlikely to make it, but 14th to 25th are still game.

That's the same way I felt. I was born in 73 and because it didn't say 71, I bought it!

At various times this week, I've thought that both Elements of Life and We're More Than Famous! had no chance of being reckoned in this go-round. With both shirts in the high teens at times, that is obviously not the case.

What a crazy week, shirts with DSRs over 22 are going to be reckoned tomorrow.

I just want to warn everyone to start checking your bank statements. Shirt.woot charged me twice after a recent purchase. Even though their own records show that I only purchased one shirt and I only received one shirt, my bank statement shows they charged me twice for it. It just might be the last time I purchase anything from shirt.woot.

I have had terrific luck with woot being both honest and generous in their accounting. Email service@woot.com and see how quickly they respond/take care of it before you decide to swear off woot forever.

I just blinked (aka went from reckoning to comment page and back) and the 20-21 spot changed. This is a crazy scramble. Hoping Hold Still Guys can hold a choice spot a little longer.

Short of a mass organized purchase of a particular shirt, I agree. A single purchase will change the rankings, so this one will be a photo finish.
