I split my kneecap in 4 pieces last Friday (walking across the road and slipped on black ice). My parents made me buy this one. I will wear it to work once I can go back. My boss will love it. What timing.

My knee aches looking at this design. And I totally missed this meme.

In other news, Hugo is an awesome movie. Maybe he could fix something up for this guy?

Not so much impact. Think it's been done a lot in this thread.

Anyone got any amusing Skyrim videos?

I'm just hanging out, really.

That line is hardly the funniest thing in Skyrim. People make memes out of the most random ****.

No more woot shirts for me. I cant imagine that woot wasn't profitable with the former pricing model. If they were not, then they need to cut their overhead expenses and cut middle management, etc, etc, not make a move that causes them to lose customers. There are other options for quippy poppy trendy t-shirts and now I will be using them.

Now, after a price hike and a change to shirts not made in the USA, I'm not a fan. At all. Boo, hiss, and all that jazz. If I want to spend money on stuff not made in the USA, I'll go to WalMart.

I don't know about the quality of Anvil shirts, but to everyone who is complaining about Woot not supporting American Apparel anymore, I absolutely applaud that move. It'd be nice to have shirts that are made in the US, but I would rather not support an anti-woman company like AA.

The CEO, Dov Charney, is pretty notoriously sleazy. The quickest link to everything is his Wikipedia page. I say anti-woman as a whole because the aesthetic is, in a word, icky. I just went to their website to see if I could pull a picture that showed it clearly, but the front banner is made up of a topless (but covered, of course) girl who looks like she's 15. And that's basically it in a nutshell.

I see what you mean... The front page splash photos have a lot of what looks like it falls in the "this is *barely* not child p0rn" category. Skeezy. And after another look, I don't know how they are getting away with straight up softcore images... those girls look really young.

I used to live near an AA store and had to shield my eyes. Also, and I'm not making a value judgment on this one, but they've had major immigration raid issues (and had to fire a quarter of their workers in LA a couple of years ago). I actually hadn't ever posted on here before but was super surprised to see everyone upset about the shirt change. I'm definitely worried about the quality but I'm hoping that Anvil has tiers of quality like someone mentioned earlier in the comments and we're getting a good one.

For me it is about taking jobs out of the USA though. The quality is a concern, but even if the shirts are good, they cost Americans jobs.

This meme, like "the cake is a lie," needs to be put out of its misery. Both came from great games, but neither were particularly funny to begin with. This has become the video game equivalent of "that's what she said" and I'm sick of it. Bah humbug!

Could easily be a regular arrow. 12th century English or Welsh longbows could easily penetrate armor, let alone skin.

"Gerald of Wales commented on the power of the Welsh longbow in the 12th century:

... In the war against the Welsh, one of the men of arms was struck by an arrow shot at him by a Welshman. It went right through his thigh, high up, where it was protected inside and outside the leg by his iron cuirasses, and then through the skirt of his leather tunic; next it penetrated that part of the saddle which is called the alva or seat; and finally it lodged in his horse, driving so deep that it killed the animal."

I'm dreaming when I'm tired, and I'm tired when I'm awake.

My two came in and were both Anvil. They don't feel as soft or as thick as the AA shirts and the 3X didn't seem to go as far down. I haven't washed it yet so I'll reserve full judgement until after a few cycles. It wasn't the worst feeling shirt, but it also wasn't the most comfortable.

Hey! Maybe I got a collector's item on my hands! ;) Kinda tongue in cheek about the whole 'woot lied' thing. Got the bag, opened it, and the first shirt I pulled out was the one with the American Apparel label, and the other one had the more normal Woot Shirt label (Made in the USA.)

Anyway, I feel really bad that I've not gotten any of the glow in the dark shirts from woot before - really nicely printed, great glow ink, looks great in sunlight as well. Wore the shirts to the mall, had a few people bust out laughing. Overall, great design.

My random blanks still haven't shipped yet. Am I crazy or did it say they'd be shipping February 29th?

And is it true that they're no longer American Apparel shirts? If so, I have a feeling the shipping won't be the only thing I'm disappointed about.

I've worn mine once and I ordered a size larger to be careful with the new shirt company.

The new shirt feels a little thicker, but not much else difference to me.

Love the design, though, and the glow in the dark is very bright once hit with some good light.

In for 2 in case this gets reckoned. I had been sitting on the fence on this one due to the new shirts..., but darn it, I'm weak and know that I would regret it if I didn't pick it up.

I just got my random blanks I ordered. I'm not really a fan of the new shirts. They're not as soft as the AA shirts.

I also got the only three colors I would not have wanted (I remember looking at the list and thinking "Well, there's only three I don't like, so what are the odds I'd get all three?"), but I should've expected that. I'm not a good gambler.
