It's driving me a little bonkers. I can't tell if it's a colour thing, a texture thing, or something else entirely, but I keep finding my attention drawn back to this one. Can't put a finger on *what*, but there's something here I really like!

This is a strong effort from you, but personally, the lighter blue highlighting is what kills this one for me. Could just be my eye, but the lines of the anchor and chain look rougher/sketchier than the rest of the piece, making this element just feel a little out-of-place.

I don't think so. I think by not blending everything together he's accentuating the contrast between the two which helps to draw focus to the anchor a little more than have it not stand out, and the anchor chain is great as it shows the movement of an anchor, very fast not floating down leisurely. Really if it was any different I'd be disappointed. This is an amazing shirt and it would be great to wear. Hope it fogs soon!

I tend to avoid designing on gray. It's not the best color for me either. Nothing else seemed as equally piratey though. Lately I've been layering up with it being so cold, so if I get a good strong color underneath, I can pull the grey off. A red undershirt would be good for this one.

This is a really great design. I'm just not sure if slate is the best color for the backround. It just doesn't pop the ship out enough. Maybe if you changed some colors? I know you are prolly going for the ye olde weathered look with the faded-ish colors. But... I want to give it my vote!

Handsome design!

I'm not completely sold on this as a shirt, but as a digital painting it's awesome. The sense of volume is so strong this almost feels 3D. Very impressive lighting too.

It is sad, but this idea is on a few different shirts already (2,3). It's often the way with the purest concepts, artists come up with them independantly.

There's another pirate R that I'm thinking of too, white on black, but I can't remember who drew it. First time I saw it, it made me go "D'oh, why didn't I think of that?".

This is absolutely incredible. It is my second favorite shirt I have seen on woot. My number one, you ask? Your Escape shirt with the Robot and Red Balloon. That was the first and only woot shirt that I have bought without it being a mystery shirt week. This could be the second.
