I tried posting several times from the airport and it wouldn't post.
Anyway I'm home, picked up the mutt and checked on the oldsters.
All is well. I miss the grandbaby and apparently she misses us too. She had a 11 hour fit yesterday.

Up to episode 5. Had dinner, thinking about another beer.

I have to add damp, noisy and torturous allergy laden land outside my home. Always great to wake up to thunderous digging due to a water main break.

So far today I made blueberry muffins and read the paper. That's about as motivated as I think I'm getting.

Someone is flying in upstate to attend a show at Penns Peak. They decided they want to stay the weekend at a casino. Also decided they don't want to take the ride down to AC and then back upstate again.

There are two casinos less than an hours drive from Penns Peak. They are The Sands in Bethlehem and Mount Airy in Mt. Pocono. Have you been to either of them, heard anything about them or have an opinion as to where you would stay if given the choice?

I'd really rather just come down to the Borgata, but she's insisting on staying up there.

I haven't been to either. I know where they both are, but that is about it. My boss is in a band, and they play the Sands sometimes. He hasn't said anything bad about the place, other than parking sucks. The Sands is in town, so close to other entertainment and dining options. Mt Airy is much mire scenic, in the mountains, but not much nearby.

Guess I'll go looking for some reviews later tonight about the rooms and services.

I mentioned to her this afternoon that they should have seen the show in Red Bank, NJ. We could have visited JBJ's for dinner since she hasn't been there yet. Went to the show after. Then we could have gone either to NY for the weekend or down AC. Says she didn't know about that show when she booked Penn two months ago.

About an hour goes by, phone rings and she tells me that she's ALSO coming to the show in Red Bank and yes, we'll do as I suggested and they'll come that weekend too...thanks for letting her know about it.

HUH?!?! I didn't want to go twice and now I have to entertain them both weekends and change plans I already had for Memorial weekend. *sigh* No, that should have been...SIGH.

They are lucky they are elders and therefore get above and beyond thoughtfulness from me. That sigh needs to be even bigger.

Uh oh, I think I just left a D'name-like posting. She's rubbing off on me.

no1, please don't let your mind go there. I've already been rubbed the wrong way earlier today.

KTC, did you watch the US season? I watched Dr who, then that. Eep! New companion actor has been chosen for the Dr, az well.

Not yet, the last I saw was the Children of Earth miniseries. I probably will though, Captain Jack makes it worth it. I just prefer to get things by legal means, so as soon as I find it (need to check the local video rental store of absolute awesomeness - they have the Christmas specials that I've missed too).

It is on amazon, I know. Don't recall price. The older stuff is all free with prime. Dr Who episodes as well.

The US season is very different. Darker. Good, just...gritty.

good evening everybody. Just took dog out and it is downright chilly after having a breezy, warm sunny day. Had to clean more pollen off of lanai furniture - this is the worst I remember.
